Timelapse of me building a custom castle play structure with playhouse and swingset.     I probably "knew" i was going to build it/something for a couple years. Planned and sketching spanned several months just a little here and there. Design/blueprint was a couple weeks on the side and build was mostly done in a 2 week span (several vacation days). Main gotcha is the kids would've been fine with an A-frame swingset. 🤣

    I’m 41 and just bought my first home. I’m only now thanking my dad for all the things he built for us as kids. Didn’t really appreciate it till now. I learned a ton and enjoyed it.

    _Great work!! I have a question, i'm doing something similar for the school of my children, what is the best method to fix the tower posts to the ground, better to make small concrete bases and immerse them or fix them with metal bases screwed to the concrete?

    Mine is not anchored at all, just resting on concrete pavers. Post in concrete in the ground will eventually rot so my opinion is metal anchor plates in concrete.

    This timelapse covers 64hrs of work. Add in other fishing touches and exterior stain and I had about 80hrs in it.

    @@NaterTater Understand it might be hard to get the time to do the blueprint/ 3d prints but it does seem like many people are interested. I'm 100% on board for it if you get to it anytime soon. Really incredible job!

    I think its too much time/effort and too little payback. Talking to others there doesnt seem to be a widespread appetite to pay for plans.
