Todd's Backwoods Living! Thanks Todd! I thought about using mortar but it that wouldn't allow me to move it in the future. With plenty of landscaping planned, this worked well.

I'm watching this to plan on a fire pit for my family. The gas prices have been rising so much I need to take action now for our cooking needs also it's been freezing at home. I have a local hiking trail with very nice stones and sizes I can carry back home and with enough I can build this pit. My 2 concerns are: 1. we live in an area prone to high gusts of winds. I am concerned about the fire blowing out or taking embers along. 2. There are some sparse trees in the yard that can break the wind but I don't want any fire so close to tree/foliage. Our backyard landscape needs some figuring out.

The table reminds me of an Inukshuk.

Nice Dave, table looks bit familar. Buchans? Hows the trout, any nice ones. Spose the fishing derby is pretty close now. should be fun; love to get up that way for couple days soon 4 a trip....cheers got my first timber wolf this year and it made the auction...they are here so keep sharp eye.....cheers

hunt4fish thanks! It is granite that was taken from the mineral belt here in central. I have seen a few wolves in the past decade or so, cougars as well! You should make your way over to this area... the derby had plenty of boaters and anglers out but the wind picked up late this afternoon. The fish aren't active with cold water temperatures. I spoke with an officer today who watches our videos and also traps and he knows you as well. Cheers
