Writing in again - we've just had a bath, all dried and brushed. The shampoo and conditioner is fantastic. And the conditioning spray is brilliant. The whole process today was so much smoother, especially the brushing - I am amazed and very grateful 💕💕 I am excited that bath time is becoming easier and less anxiety inducing for my doggo. Finns mum has been brushing Finn from a very young age. Be confident and groom small amounts and work up to more time. Have a place where you groom your cavoodle so he knows what is about to happen, so he learns that grooming a part of day to life💕

Hi Alex, brushing both with and against the coat growth just ensures the slicker gets to the base of the coat and helps remove knots , tangles and dead coat.

Which side of the slicker did you use? Did you swap sides at any point? I’m trying to find out which slicker brushes I need. I have a Cavoodle just like this one and an older Spoodle with thinner poodley hair and delicate skin.

Rbcaul one side is slightly softer, you could use both sides for both dogs. With your older s poodle it’s may take you a little longer to brush💕

How exciting for you. From a grooming perspective just start the grooming process early. It is so good to get pups used of being brushed and washed from a young age . Goodluck . We have some great puppy grooming videos on the channel 😍

Can you please make a video or guide showing how and when to use the conditioning sprays? I'm still confused about what their purpose is 😅

Hi Riley, sure thing. The conditioning spray is best used before and during brushing. The conditioning elements in the products will help the brush slide through the coat , helping removed dead unwanted coat. Also helps to detangle the coat, its great to use in between baths when you dont have time to give them a bath. Hope that helps.

@@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials thanks Melanie, now that you say it, it's quite obvious 🤦🏽‍♀️ any tips on the different types you offer? I think there are 4 types but no doubt you know better. I have a Kelpie who isn't a show dog but he's my best mate so I like to keep him happy and clean. Realistically I wash him every 2 months and brush him max twice a week (if this helps with your recommendation of spray type) 😁

Riley Williams glad that helped, a conditioning spray works similar to a conditioner , it smooths the hair shaft out giving the hair some slip allowing to brush easier. For a border collie coat type we recommend the Refresh collection. The Refresh collection has avocado 🥑 oil in the product which is extra hydrating. Hope that helps.

I’m allergic to perfume. Do your salon essentials contain perfume? Essential oils are ok but I can’t use anything containing perfume on my dog as it triggers my allergies I have a 12 week old cavoodle

I have a cavapoo she gets knotted on her neck whats a good brush or comb i used the wire brush on her and it made it more knotted help. Please

I have a 7 year old cavoodle and dosnt enjoy getting grommed with the brush. How can I settle my cavoodle into a brushing routine? Also my cavoodle doesnt like getti my brushed how do i make her enjoy it better?

it can be hard to re train your dog, but it is possible. Start with small grooming sessions 2-5 per day, and grooming your dog in the same spot everyday this will communicate to her that she is going to be groomed.
