How to groom your Cavoodle.
Where should I be careful when grooming my dog?
What areas are likely to get matted?
How do I remove mats from my dog?
How do I groom the body, legs and face of my dog?
I made this video to help people with the basics because we are in an extended lockdown due to COVID-19 in Melbourne, and people are needing to groom their own dogs for the first time ever, and I wanted to express the basics so you are less likely to injure your dog during your home grooming session.
* Disclaimer: I am not a groomer, I’ve just learnt off a friend who is a groomer, so I only know the basics. This advice isn’t complete - there’s still a lot that was left out of this video. I won’t be responsible for any grooming accidents that occur.

As a first time Cavoodle mum, and now going to give home grooming a try - this video was AMAZING!!! Thabkyou so much for such great instructions!! It also helps that my Millie seems to have a very similar coat to Rosie, so all of your tips and tricks were very appropriate 😁

Haha it’s the only video I have and I made it during COVID for our Melbourne Cavoodle community because we were forced to groom our own dogs and I wanted to share some info so no dogs got injured from home grooms but quite a few people have seen the video. Haha Rosie was a tolerant model 😂
An excellent presentation and one I will be regularly referring to as I begin to trim my Cavoodle.

so appreciate this. my cavoodle isn't the easiest to groom (absolutely LOVES the mobile groomer however!) so these tips and advice helped me a lot. anything on grooming/doing basic care for an anxious cav/or any oodle, wouid be so helpful also.

Hi there, you can book in a puppy groom when she is fully vaccinated. This means they will trim her face, nails, paws and hygiene areas and get a lovely bath and blow dry. Lots of groomers are booked out so try and plan ahead for her grooms as much as you can. Good luck!

Hi Kat, sorry for my slow reply. Rosie is a mini Cavoodle, one of the biggest out there at 11kg but that’s more because she had a big cavalier mum and a smaller poodle dad. I love her!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by, I’m using Wahl dog grooming clippers but the ones I have aren’t being made anymore but any pet shop should be able to advice you based on your dog’s coat and you can ask them to price match with online 🥰 I also have the Wahl combs which are great!
I clip my cavapoo myself too. Don't trust groomers, seen so many videos shave dogs which I hate. My girl lays down with her head on my leg very relaxed now as she's used to it. I have thinning scissors and curved scissors

Hi Luis, yes cavapoo and Cavoodle are the same breed, we just call them a Cavoodle in Australia. Thanks for watching 😊

I believe you should have said the disclaimer at the start of the video, if your not a groomer.
