Meron po ba ganun male pero malaki ang tyan? So far nag hatch na ung eggs nila happy aq sa 20 fry na nakikita q...

Very impressed. Have watched your guppy care videos s8nce four years ago. Now my guppies have been cross bred and their fry are so beautiful. I am attempting breeding my pink danio now. Thank you again ,

I am a Zebra Danio Breeder as well ( just as a hobbyist ) but I have never used plants to breed my danios . I only use my 50cm deep pond to breed them , and they do perfectly okay , even though some of them die during the heatwaves and monsoons here in Peninsula Malaysia .

Don't tempt me more I have an (almost) empty room where I'm already raising baby bettas, some guppies and black diamond cherry shrimp, and have 6 nano tanks in different spots in my place and I'm really tempted to try breeding other kinds of fish. I'm terrible but can't help it I looove this hobby since early childhood. It's my fathers fault 😑😅

I breed zebra danio before it was really easy and can breed twice a month if feed with live foods always. Btw sir dex just to correct zebra can be breed without plants. U can use artificial breeding materials or put marbles at the bottom of the tank so breeders wont be able to eat the eggs.. ty. Good job though.

My zebra danios lived for 2 years.

thanks for sharing , dexter , the name of my singaporean boss also similar , he is daxter wee , i also breed many tropical fishes from my school days and sell also , i breed black mollys , white mollys and guppies ,i also help in breeding zebra danios . you can also try our breeding techniques for ,zebra danios ,you can place marbles instead of gravels ,the glass marbles ,in the breeding tank ,plants also you can add , and then after two days from spwaning , you can remove the parent fish from the breeding tanks . so you can reduce the mortality rate ,of baby fishes , because the eggs of fishes they will hide in the marbles substrate and then the female fishes cannot eat them ,lah . so you can increase the number baby fishes ,even if you add plants no problem ,stil the parent fishes will not eat the eggs because of the glass marbles .

No worries. I haven't succeded either. After few tries I quit - not worth my time since a school of 10 young danios costs a few bucks only..

the breeding technique ,i have just shared with you is from england ,and very succesfull with the singapore breeders also . the glass marbles changes the water ph favorably ,so the parent fishes they stop eating there own eggs ,after spawning . for baby fishes we give , egg yolk ,hard boiled one ,wraapeed in muslin cloth /silk cloth ,also part of the breeding technique ,along with that you may give other baby fish food ,later when the fry is one week old . that is no problem ,after one week ,in the morning you can give egg yolk and in the evening you can give , the brine shrimp larvae /daphnia . egg yolk ,you have to give only once a day for baby fishes not more than that , also without muslin cloth you may give with your hand ,mashed gently in water with your hand also ,can can .

Awesome videos. What if we can't get any brine shrimps , what else can they eat? I have only two and been feeding them crushed mosquitoes and they have been thriving. But i dont know if any is a male coz its been a month and they didn't spawn.

We don't have brine shrimp or daphnia here in Malaysia , so I just give them fish food , and they love it very much .

My zebra laid eggs without plants in a cover while inter state transportation in a dark plastic cover

I have 12 mixed zebra & leopard danios in my 20 gallon, 2 spare 3 gallon for to try breeding,I got a breeding net,it's nearly the size of my 3 gallon,will they breed in that,as it has gaps for the eggs to fall through, will this work? How do i understand if they are ready for breeding, as per your video i could identify that i got inly 2 males which is black in color. And 3 of my pink once are with bulged tummy, is it possible to do a mix breeding ? And if we could how do i make sure they laid egg ? Thank you

you got this one wrong..Zebra Danio does not require horn wart or guppy grass..to spawn.. in fact, their egg do not even stick to plants..they fall to the bottom... shallow set up as so when the spawning begins. the eggs have less distance to fall before getting eaten... where you use your traping methods... so that the adults can get at them... Feeding fry...Daphnia and brine shrimp are to large for the fry...they require smaller micro feeding such as INFUSORIA..as soon as they are free-swimming..first feeding..and later on you can do brine shrimp
