This will be my first year breeding crested geckos and I’m starting off with some harlequins and extreme harlequins. I’m so nervous for my first eggs (I have one female about to lay any day now). Your videos are definitely helping me prepare myself for this season. So I appreciate all of the great info!☺️👍🏼 In the next year to two years my charcoal babies will finally be able to breed and I am so stoked for that! I’m so excited to put more charcoals out into the community🙂 I’ll have to snag one of your super dals one day! I really need a female for my male😁

Hey man! Love your content!! I'm new to crested gecko breeding and I had a few questions that I was hoping you could answer for me that I haven't been able to find answers for anywhere. I picked up a breeder female about 2 months ago. The breeder had said he had paired her to an Inkblot male and that she could possibly be gravid. Sometime over the past couple of days, she laid a pair of eggs, which I'm thinking are infertile. Especially since it has been more than 30 days since she was paired.(I am incubating them till they mold, just in case, but they are yellow the whole way through) How long after a female lays should I wait to try to get a fresh pairing in with my breeder male so that the next time she lays, they more likely to be fertile? And how often should I pair them? Thanks in advance!!

I’m literally doing so much research to breed two of my super dals for one or two babies to keep as other pets. Just to see one grow from day dot

How often do you reintroduce the male. Once every couple of months? Or are they good for the season after the first mating?

I have a question.... so my female crested gecko is around 2 years old.... and the male crested gecko is 2-3 years old... could i still breed them being that age? like my female crested gecko just turned 2 years old... and i dont really now the right age of the male crested gecko, just bought him a couple days ago last weekend.. from a nice lady on kijiji... he is perfectly healthy though and same with my female crested gecko.

Will you make a video on how to pair you geckos projects? By that I mean “what are you looking for in this project” what to look for when building projects, picking out pairs, etc.

I've been breeding since 2014. Last two seasons my one male has been bred to two different females... zero fertile eggs outta either female. This season I locked a different male to a female. Is she gravid in one lock? Don't really want to leave them unsupervised as you say. I witnessed them lock they bred within 15 mins. Thanks.

A small plastic bead box with super hatch at room temp.

Just introduced my pair, my question is do you need to incubate the eggs? I bought an egg box and I know I need to keep it moist but do I need to keep the eggs warm?

Nope. Room temp 70-75 is completely fine for incubating eggs

How frequently do u spray if u use dirt in the tubs?

Every other day, and it got to be a good amount

Another thing on that topic of keeping them together to breed is that the male will be constantly chasing after the females and if they're not interested, things could turn violent. Edit: He said that for the next one, but violence is still a risk with any cohabing situation, especially with females and males.

what about the weight of the male, ? same thing for age ?

Males can go slightly smaller, but you want them to be around the same size. Usually 25-30 is a good.

How many clutches can a female lay during a average season? And do u leave the male with her for a week and then take him out and how long after that does it take the female to lay her eggs?

30-45 days after lock and around 10 clutches.
