How to break Noita's perk re-roll machines for absolute power!

One of the exploits advanced Noita players take advantage of is the ability to "break" the perk re-roll machines in order to obtain mass amounts of perks for a relatively small amount of gold. In this video, I show you exactly how to do this - why? So you can become extremely powerful and more-easily unlock spells, defeat bosses, survive high NG+ loops, discover secrets and more. Enjoy!

    Could you help me a little, when you get this broken machine, where you will get the perks? Those 3 above the machine are refreshed with each rerrol? Im at my first potential god run ever and thinking what should i try to achieve at this point instead of getting down and finishing the run...

  • @Opno

    @Opno

    4 ай бұрын

    @@restoreleader so basically you break the machines by visiting the 7ish parallel worlds, loading them in, then backtracking and rerolling each one once, as the video shows. Now whenever you visit another machine you can reroll for free until you get what you want. So what I did is go back through, and go to other new worlds, and first target the "Chance for other perks not to disappear" perk, the dice one. Each one gives a multiplied 50% chance to take more perks. So after 4 or 5, you're getting to take every single perk from each stand, because the others never disappear. Then you take "More perks appear in each mountain" until it maxes out. So now each holy mountain you're getting 5 (6? I can't remember) perks from every single one. And at that point you go through, reroll for free, and get huge stacks of Stainless Armor, 8 (I think, check the wiki) stacks of the quick drop stain Robe, and then 50% more health over and over. If you want full god mode, a few stacks of friendly enemies makes them stop attacking you all together. Hopefully that kind of makes sense lol.

    @@restoreleader Go to more parallel worlds and more mountains and you can infinite reroll (mostly) to get exactly what you want. Main thing to shoot for once you break the rerolls is 1) the dice perk that gives you a chance for the other perks to not disappear. After a few of these, you get to take every perk from every mountain (more or less) as the 50% chance is multiplicative. Then, you want to take Extra Perk in Each Future Mountain. You max this out, with the previous thing, and you're getting 6 perks from every mountain. Then, you can stack Stainless Armor, Quick drop Stains robe, health upgrades, to your hearts content

I did it by going east until I had infinite money and then tracking back, rerolling on all the leftovers from perk lottery. I thought I was just going to pick up the odd additional perk but got virtually infinite rerolls as a surprise.

    You can reroll a couple times on the last machine you loaded to reduce the amount of machines and parallel worlds you need to go to. For example if you reroll 14 times on the last machine (about 6.5mill gold needed), you would need 25 more machines instead of 39, 4 or 5 parallel worlds instead of 7. You can roll about 24 times until it wont let you reroll again, because the price is about 3 billion to reroll again and the game stops counting your gold at about 2 billion and something.

    You will need a semi-decent pc. A $300 laptop isn't going to cut it. There's a LOT of physics in this game. Even higher end computers suffer when you (ab)use wands that are specifically optimized to cause "bullet time" aka "lag". A any moderately priced gaming rig will suffice, you'll just have to be careful not to use some of the laggier spells. For example, Freezing Field causes tons of lag due to ice particles, but Protective Field can serve the same purpose with little to no lag. Field spells make excellent trigger homing weapons due to having no collision with enemies or obstacles, letting you omit the expensive and/or dangerous Piercing Shot/Drilling Shot modifiers.

    it's not random, because it's overflowing issue and it works because it's just multiplyes the cost by 2 each time, so the result is always the same on the same system. But if you really wanna click ~1000 times and be sure if it breaks consistently, compare the numbers after the 979 free reroll on your game and this video, and if it's any different, then your pc calculates numbers differently with other consistent error :)

    Man I just started playing noita, and got a cool portal spell, the description says it's a one way portal to another dimension, and I thought I would travel to another world for better loot. But nooo, it was a portal and tentacles started flying out and wrecked me. This is probably the only game where you explore different ways to unexpectedly die. Dark souls has nothing on this game. Dark souls unpredictability is a 1/10, noita's is a 10/10.

    Noita is a very random and knowledge *+* experience based game and there is nothing wrong in "not being good" with it. Because maybe you don't want to spend 3000+ hours to "git gud" or you can't remember these 208*1337 combinations of working spells (and these ones that "work") or this is not really your kind of game (i'm better at TBOI for example) and that's okay, dammit. i personally looking at this game as "cool survival sandbox simulator" with additional cool deep lore with it, and when i see people in the comments saying "i'm bad, i suck" that's saddening for me, because if you don't have fun in a (sandbox) game, you doing it kinda wrong.

    @@aszzzz69 I'm not sure what you meant by that, but first reroll until you get perk lottery or extra perk and after you have stacked enough of them that you have like 6-8 perks in every holy mountain and they basically never disappear when you pick one, then move on to the next holy mountain and pick what you need while rerolling when there's nothing you want. If there are for example extra health perks you can pick them in each reroll and so on. When there's only a couple perks left it may be better to move on to the next mountain instead of rerolling them again.

    I find it really interesting that you can sever the connection between a set of perks and their reroll machine. That must mean the code that disables the machine is actually just searching for a nearby machine instead of indexing it or whatever. Does that mean you can drop a machine to the following HM and have it be affected by taking a perk there?

    Not entirely - I like to stack at least 15 Stainless Armors, 20 if I can get them, for the Sunseed quest and/or playing around with the suns. Then there are 5 Permanent Shields, so you can have as much protection as possible from projectiles (including polymorph shots.) Stacked Greed and Trick Greed, stacked More Health and, importantly, stacked extra lives. It's not "necessary" but if you want to do some of the ultimately crazy things, breaking re-rolls becomes a much more viable strategy to achieve this.

    You just have to have enough gold. If you've re-rolled a bunch already, then you'll just need enough to cover the rest of the re-rolls. Also, there are less of the machines in NG+, since there are less HM's. So, you'll have to go a little further into parallel worlds to load in enough.

    I’m going to oversimplify it a bit, but as a bit of a checklist: [] Make it to the end of the game (Don’t go into the portal after defeating the boss) with some method of making it back to the surface, a few methods can be found in fury’s tower video [] Obtain some form of infinite healing. This is by far the most important box to check. Greek letter spells with either healing bolt or circle of vigor are probably best, but stuff like vampirism can work in a pinch if you have access to a consistent source of blood [] Find some way of getting to parallel worlds. Wands can be built to take you there, but the most consistent setup is to get an infinite black hole wand and some ambrosia. When you do get to a parallel world, be careful of the alchemist and pit bosses that spawn above the surface. They don’t drop anything, so you’re better off just tunneling under the ground. After this you’ll want to loot holy mountains/other points of interest. Be careful not to take any portals, as they all lead back to the main world, and never lose the fear of polymorphine. Rinse and repeat, and you’re on your way to a god run.
