How to access the parallel universes in Noita (early access)

Ойындар

Did you know that it's possible to cross over to parallel universes in Noita? The world repeats "infinitely" to the east and west and allows you to, effectively, repeat runs to gain much more power than you normally would be able to attain during a single run.
In this video, I show you how to cross the extremely dense and cursed rock over to these east and west worlds. I also show some of the differences these worlds contain when compared to the "main" central world.

I use that same map, keep it up on my second monitor for quick reference. Excellent content, as usual. I floundered with Noita for the first few weeks or so, just diving in trying to see how far i could go before I died. After a while I started taking my time, exploring, experimenting. I'd read the README.TXT and understood there was some subtext to "arcance knowledge" and manipulation of the data files as a mage would alter the rules of the world to suit their needs, but I had been keeping away from discussions and videos pertaining to the secrets of the game, wanting to learn on my own... but on a whim I watched your video on the hidden alchemy mechanic and my mind didn't just blow, it erupted in a volcano of bewilderment as to just HOW MUCH I had been missing out on. Suddenly my whole game changed, you got a subscription, and Nolla earned mountains of respect. (edit for punctuation)

But what if the game crashes when you go to too many parallel universes because your character already exists there? I think that'd be a fun explanation.

Looking at that map, there seems to be an entire hellscape below the final boss room. There's even hell versions of all the main biomes! But where does the bottom of the map go? Is it infinite vertically as well?!

  • @FuryForged

    @FuryForged

    4 жыл бұрын

Thanks @sinnison23 this game is amazing and it's only going to get better! @@krug7777while the actual parallel *worlds* are only to the left and right, the work DOES repeat vertically. So, the sky work will repeat infinitely upwards and the hell work will repeat infinitely downwards. The difference between the two is that the sky work is sky versions of each of the main "levels" of the game, while the hell work actually has a unique hell biome above it (below the boss) and it's in there where you can get the Essence of Water. The hell work is basically like playing through a more difficult version of the game (but not as difficult as nightmare mode.)

@@thethingoid Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.

What's nice is that the new protection potion they added protects you from the cursed rock. However, you lose it quickly when moving at all. So it's a good idea to use it with a teleport spell to get through a tunnel you've dug with a black hole or something. Or luminous drills with an increased duration modifier

Yup, or you could just keep spraying it out as you walk through it. That'll work. As soon as the update came out, that's the first thing I did. Someone posted a seed on the Discord that has THREE protection flasks in the Mines (also Perk Lottery and the new chain lightning spell in the first holy mountain) - 1469029595

I just spent 5 hours of my life in a run, and decided to end it because all the holy mountains in the paralell worlds had "already been depleted of it's items". I thought I had to go to parallel worlds before taking perks in the main world for them to be generated in parallel ones, just to find out that all I had to do was not enter through the portals. Thank you Fury, my dumbass would be doing the most imbecile thing if hadn't said that you need to dig into the holy mountains for them to have perks S2

I got through without losing HP using ambrosia flask, fast black hole and teleport spell. 1. Go to next to the cursed rock 2. Fire black hole 3. Spray ambrosia until about 40% 4. Teleport along the tunnel.(don't walk or the ambrosia wears off)

Heres a tip for people: if you are scared of the cursed rock, if you can cover it with a large enough layer of something (freeze charge snow or powder from anything) will nullify the effects of cursed rock if you stand of it, just remember that the cursed rock above will slightly damage you but now you can stand ontop of the powdered snow and not take any damage

Just exploring the biomes and finding as many hearts as possible. There are usually a BUNCH in the Temple of the Art. You can also do the Worm Rain event or just break worm eggs in the jungle to try to get giant worms to spawn. Perk re-rolling for Max HP and More Max HP Per Heart also is a viable strategy. You can even start your run off by trying to get through the first 2 areas pacifist in order to get the pacifist prize chests in the Holy Mountain, which may contain hearts.

Maybe you could make an updated version of this guide if there are new strats? Because not always it is possible to find black holes or ambrosia. For example in my current run I'm stuck because i didn't find any luminous drills or black holes and i used for digging touch of smoke. Obviously it's too slow for crossing the cursed wall

  • @mailcs06

An easy way to get to the cursed rock wall is with the combination of the Earth Stone to turn the EDR to dirt, and the Evil Eye to burn the dirt away. You can also turn the cursed rock to dirt and burn it away, or remove it with a touch of spell, but the cursed area damage ticks remain, even if all the cursed rock is gone. The Chaotic Poly strat may also work in your world.

  • @Buglin_Burger7878

Didn't know they added cursed rock there, neat. Unfortunate for them Chaotic Polymorphine exists and undoes this immediately. Much more common then the number Black Holes needed.

Yo, you can use new Ambrosia potion to pass through cursed rock without ANY damage. You'll need a teleport, a black hole, something to speed up the black hole is also helpful (repuslion field, fast projectile mod). Ambrosia wears off very quickly only if you move, but you still can teleport freely. I know, ambrosia is super rare, but this method is much safer, coz you wont take any risks of being perma polymorphed into a monster
