quick question... on hole 13, doesn't he get a free drop cuz of the cart path? or was he inside the hazard line?

He was in the hazard so he would have to do on the slope where the ball would be very far below his feet

Since finding your channel I broke 100 last year, and broke 90 this year shooting an 88. Last night I shot the best round of my life - 81! - following the process-based way of the playa. This is hands down the best way to bring down scores and stop taking things so seriously. Kudos to you and kudos to me!

@@featherfoot614 Yes, the biggest thing was learning to drop the ego shots and set myself for an easy distance to the green. My 8 iron through 50' covers my 140-100 yard range comfortably, so as long as I'm inside 150 yards my confidence levels are high and I can aim for a green in reg. In that last game I scored 8 bogeys, 7 pars, 2 doubles, and 1 sweet sweet birdie. Good luck on your goal.

Agreed that Matt has really changed the game for me. I’ve went from shooting in the 100s in March to now shooting in the mid to high 80s consistently. I always had the skill just never had the right mentality or knowledge of how to put it all together. Thanks to Matt I’ve really made golf fun for myself and everyone I play with now!

This guy truly is a 'Golf sidekick'. Offering concise feedback/tips, cheering on, providing a phenomenal "vibe" to play golf in. Wish I could tag along for a round.

The sidekick is definitely Johnny Depp in Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas.

He's become the ultimate playa. Can't wait to see him break 80.

J Mac has truly inspired me. I'm so impressed with how he's improved in such a small amount of time. Went from 30+ to 13 Hcp in like a year. Waddaplaya!!!

Enjoyed watching an average golfer play on video, rather than the unrealistic standard set by watching pros on TV. Graphics and ball tracer were also very cool. Well done.

The move at 12:46 where he uses his pit sweat to clean the ball is one of the most brilliant things ive ever seen.

I struggled to break 100 over the past couple of years but since joining my local golf league my play has improved. Last year I shot under 100 for the first time. This year, prior to watching your videos, I went out with the mindset to play that my goal was to play bogey golf. How cool to see you teaching golfers to set a "new par" based on their skill level. This year I've been under 100 three times, with my personal best 47/46 coming just a couple of weeks ago. Last week, with no birdies and no pars, I shot 98. Shooting under 100 with no birdies or pars came out of pushing past a blow up hole. My putter was not nearly as hot as the previous week when I shot 93. Shooting under 90 is something I can visualize as a reality now. I really appreciate your videos!

At grass ranges, it's preferred to make a straight line of divots. Same thing on par 3's, tee up just behind another divot, for aiming (like Jmac) and tee box preservation.

If anyone questions WOTP, just put a collaboration of J-Mac's videos together and watch them all. He is an ENTIRELY different golfer now. Awesome round J-Mac!! I got a big boy game this Friday I'm surely to be WOTP and hoping to also break 90 on a course I've never played!! I feel good, just have to get some sleep the night before as I tend to get VERY excited!!!! On my home course I've never played better or more consistent, can I take it to a road course? Let's hope!! I began the way of the Playa last week. Shot back to back 100 in my last two rounds but i'm much more mindful of how Im playing the course. Road to Sub-90. J Mac: you've improved like a BAUS!

The only thing I like more than playing golf is watching you playas play golf lol

I upgraded to the Cobra F9 one length and added the 19* one length hybrid. SOOO good! I been playing 9 months back from a 10 year layoff and shot my best ever 83 the other day. Way of the playa has been such a positive move for my game. Thank you so much SideKick! Love the videos. Love the advise. Nothin but love brother!

love the videos! im currently hitting a 90 on average but i enjoy it more than i used to by keeping positive and sticking to your tips! also, i like how you show where the ball goes with the red tracer in the videos, keeps the viewer engaged while nothing is really happening and because we cant see the ball.

20:04 I too love and up and down for par, or even birdie if we must get a little greedy with the golf gods. So cool to see how excited you get for JMac. Makes me so excited for my family golf trip next weekend. I don’t get to golf with many people these days and get to experience that feeling of joy over someone else hitting a fantastic series of shots. All have moved out of state, off to school, got family duties, etc. etc. And my home course is very chill - not many people on the course which I love! But it also is a bummer cause you don’t get to experience rounds with other people as frequently as other courses I’ve been to.

Matt, want to thank you for your guide to playing golf. I can’t believe the difference it’s made to my game an attitude. Today, needed par on 18th hole to shoot even par for the round (for 2nd time this year) and dunked my approach shot in the water. In the past best I would have done after that would have been a double. I said to myself, next shot can be the best shot of your life, hit my lob wedge to about 8 feet above the hole and drained the putt for a bogie. Even though it was not shooting even par, I walked off the green like I did! Thanks for your passion and sharing it with us.

Thank you jmac! I'm 22 and started playing from a very young age. Used to hit my driver very well. I stopped playing much through high school and completely quit in college. Picked it back up last year and would shoot 90 to 100 on average. Couldn't hit my driver straight EVER so I put my driver away about a month ago and went to driving with my 5 wood and BAM, I'm shooting in the mid to low 80s consistently. I was scared of quitting the driver because its a fun club (when I hit it well) but it caused so much stress. Now I'm hitting my 5 wood 260-270 in the fairway every time. Now I just need to learn how to putt🤣

J-Mac is my man!! Matt already plays much better than me, but I can identify with J-Mac. Similar level, similar errors. Love seeing him make progress, and happy to report my average 9 is down from 45ish to 42ish after a year of trying to play the way of the playa. Breaking 40 (80) is on my horizon!

Love these videos and WOTP has gotten me to break 90 on the regular now. Hopefully continuing to improve to break 80. Just wondering what shot tracer are you using.

J Mac is now a v solid player. Well done and great luck on the rest of his journey. GSK: do not stop celebrating up n downs. Building up others like that are the actions of a Bausy Hyper Mate
