How To BOUNCE A VOLLEYBALL (Volleyball Tutorial)

Спорт

Learn how to bounce a volleyball for an impressive spike, taught by Professor PenuelJoshBarrina. I've never really trained to bounce a volleyball since all my training was geared toward scoring points in a game, which included tooling the block, swinging for deep corners, and challenging the block high. Now that I'm not playing as competitively as before, I set myself a new goal to finally learn how to BOUNCE A VOLLEYBALL! This is my first lesson with Josh Barrina, the bounce master, in trying to spike the ball straight down. I don't advise doing this in game. Haha.

    so what i do is i start my approach slow then when i see the path of the ball i do the last 2 steps quickly into the direction of the ball. before that i had terrible timing but then my coach told me to watch older grades spiking and he asked " what do you see them doing?" and i said "they start their approach slow and then when they know where the ball is they speed up there last 2 steps

    hitting trough the middle from 1 meter line, yes if you are middle, it is totally different when you hit from opposite or outside, ball is coming from the side and you hitting parallel or diagonally, this spike its brutal because ball is dropping straight to the floor, and you just need to slam it down :D

    Step 1. Once you have passed the ball prepare to approach Step.2 the ball is now In reach of the setter, your first step to you approach is now in action Step 3. Once the ball is in the air you should be a step away from jumping Step 4. Take a step and jump, once in the air bend your legs back and put your hitting arm behind your head getting ready for the spike Step 5. Whip your arm and your wrist to get top spin on the ball Step .6 make sure you have extended your legs while hitting to get more power Step 7. Get a good landing and don’t crosses over the line

    you guys are jokersss! thanks for the video. I also had a question, for middle hitters how do you time hits for quicks and meter sets? are there any good drills for improving approach and what to look for when jumping to spike? much appreciated!

  • @taylermichaelson7421

    @taylermichaelson7421

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Vince Law From my personal experience I've learned that the timing for a meter is to leave when your setter sets the ball. Once the ball is leaving the setters hand you should start your approach. Now when a real true quick is set, you should already be up in the air and already swinging. True quicks are honestly very uncommon to see I find. The setter and the middle have to have strong dynamics and the setter essentially has to set the ball into the swinging arm motion. I had this coach once who played in china professionally and my team and I were just messing around playing some pickup and we got him to play with us. He was setting and after a few sets he came up to me and said. "Why you look at me when I set you the ball? Do you not trust me?" So I was hitting middle and just did my approach and armswing and next thing I knew I was hitting a ball. It was definitely a crazy experience to just think to yourself "Im selling the quick" and next thing you know you're burying a ball. After that, I never looked at quicks the same way again. I personally think its all about who your setter is.

    +Tayler Michaelson having afast setter helps emminesly. trying run a quick from a slow setter is difficult. set to his hand. not a point in space. too many setters taught a quick is a few inches over net. might as well syand at net and hit into block.

    I could only bounce the ball on a quick middle. High set outside will just end up deep for me.

    Deep is a smarter hit in a game than a hit str8 down. You are often gonna get blocked unless you have zero blockers on you then it’s a highlight.😂

    hey coach, how to tip and roll (make a feint)ball from back attack,?,

    I think I get the difference~? a spike is aimed on the back zone while a bounce is aimed at the front zone? it should be the setter's job to make the ball go near the center line so it's easier to aim, right? and wouldn't that be risky cuz the blocker could've reached that ball before the spiker hits it?

    Bounce is when your spike goes before the 3 meters line ?
