I would do a 17x7 rts on the front. You can do a skinny but 7 wide works better for street cars better handling and braking and they drive better but many run skinnies on the street to just depends what you want. I would Def do matching rts it looks much better I don't really like the mismatched wheels it's okay to do smaller diameter wheel in rear w big sidewalls but I like the wheels to be matching front and rear. Looks cleaner imo. I run 17x7/15x10 gunmetal f14 drag pack on my wide 07 gt500 and those rims look sick. I like the rts too.

I wana say I’ve got right at $6k in mine. Well I sold it to my buddy. But I got a used 2.1 Kenne bell complete kit for $4200, gen2/3 coyote rods used $150, new rings bearings mls head gaskets plugs fluids and head studs $800ish, 3000rpm stall $400, shift kit $100, longtubes $200, dw fuel pump and boost a pump $300. Obviously I didn’t have to do the rods bearings and rings but now I can safely make 550rwhp. I technically can’t add the stall, shift kit and longtubes because I put all that on the car way before the supercharger. Car was nitrous before which for the money is definitely the cheapest way. A fbo 2v on 150 shot isn’t a slouch by no means. Mine was a full weight automatic gt and it ran 12.60’s on street tires. Really feel like it woulda been 11.80-11.90 on the drag pack and a few other little tweaks but ended up getting the Kenne bell. Still have nitrous on the car with the Kenne bell but it’s only a 50 shot more less just for cooling if it’s heat soaked and he’s racing

I boosted my 01 GT convertible about a year ago. It has the Stock engine with the 4r70w automatic trans. Has 162000 on the clock. This winter I'm building a motor for it. Not looking for max power just strong and reliable. Also making the 4r70w stronger. I could have did the 6 speed swap but I'm going to stick with the auto for now. Save money by getting Gen 2 coyote rods and a set of drop in pistons. You can run 500-520whp reliably if you do a set of a blower cam and springs as well. Once you get past 500whp the idea is to keep cylinder head pressure to a minimum.

My mustang does the same thing with the rpm’s climbing and I can’t figure it out. I changed the IAC valve and it still didn’t fix it. Then I checked all my line for a vac leak but there wasn’t any leak. So just out of curiosity I put my scanner on it to see if it through a code when it happened but it didn’t 😤. It’s been happening for like 4 years now and the only fix I found (temporary fix) was to turn the car off and then turn it on again. If you ever figure out the rpm issue please make a vid on it.

You’re gonna convince some kid to blow his engine trying to get those kind of numbers out of a stock rotating assembly. Pistons are not built for boost, the ringlands are way too thin.
