Boardslides are cooler when you slide the whole rail. I did one in front of a lot of ppl in the skatepark it was awesome

I have a beat up old 8" board for practicing tricks and I have a nicer enjoi 7.5 board that I use for park skating (minus rails)

If you wax the obstacle ask if its ok at first

I tried boardslides I landed fakie and broke my ankle then when it healed I tried again and hurt my ankle the same way 3rd times the charm

bruh i just put my front foot on the bolts, jump and turn my shoulders. not really an ollie, kinda like a lever if that makes sense. get the front on, apply pressure, level out all at once

i just learned boardslides before i even could fs 180 at all. took a couple hours but i got it a couple times and after i got it down i could easily fs 180 lol.

Hey, do you have any tips on getting off the rail? I understand that you need to turn your shoulders, but for whatever reason, i can never do it.

Learned this on a parking block in like 20 mins it’s such a fun trick

I’m learning board slides my hardest part is learning how to get off the ledge like not A rail but A flat ledge that my board goes across the whole thing

I wish I had a flat rail so bad but my park only has a round one fsr

I was learning to boardslide on this parking block that I found in a car park, I got very comfortable balancing on it, do you think I should now send it on a proper rail?

Great question! If you were able to hold the balance on the curb it will definitely transfer over to rails as well. Depending on the rail height it might be intimidating but it is the same exact idea!

it was scary as fuck but getting over the fear and just committing took 5 tries before i stood up in the boardslide and another 10-15 tries before i rode out of a boardslide... it didnt look pretty but im going back today to keep practising... trust me guys if youre scared just commit and you will get over the fear.... but if youre still too scared then just give up on skateboarding cos you wont progress if you never push your limits and leave yoour comfort zone

cant get the commitment back after i fell backwards and sacked the rail, i legit am terrified that the board will slip forward again

Take it slow and make sure you commit. It’s more of a mental thing. Once you can comfortably get on the rail just try it with a bit more speed.

Yes this is normal. Everyone is different. Some people prefer front side or backside, or at least find one easier than the other

did u think skat was gonna be safe? no its not there are gonna be some pretty bad accidents that will make u wanna quit but wear a helmet need pads wrist guard's if you're that worried and try again.
