Tip: don’t go super slow when you are first learning and make sure the rail has some wax because sticking on the rail is the worst

Great vid man, been trying to boardslide a rail for a while now, its a bit taller and round than yours but i feel like with these tips im gonna get it. main problem is not being able to get off the rail after a nice slide

my biggest problem is that i cant get out of the boardslide again like, i can boardslide a really long rail, but when i get to the end i just land with my body still facing forward

You inspired me to post an ollie tip video with big feet

I’ve been skating here an there an after getting into it more I’ve been able to get comfortable at skate parks. Never been able to hit the rails because of my confidence but I finally did it an boardsliding was my first! Just have to land it cause I haven’t got around it.

yesterday i was at the skate park and i was like gonna ollie on it and i pulled the board slide out of anywhere and i was like doing it but yea i struggled and fell so i’m here to learn

@@PursuitSk8 no. I am to scared to commit. I know I can technically do it. But because of my responsibilities I am afraid to get badly hurt. This summer I will work on it. Because then, I will on vacation and some responsibilities will be put on hold.

Last week I actually committed for the first time to getting on the rail with both feet still on the board. I didn’t roll away but I’m so happy this video just came out I’ve literally watched every other board slide video and I’ve been dreaming about going back to try again. Thanks Sean!

Yup! Some people just can't visually imagine the opposite stance unless I mirror them

the tip that helped me was to lean back slightly. dont focus too much on this, as long as you dont lean FORWARD and your rail is waxed your fine!

the flatbar at my park has this little base plate where my wheels always get stuck in when landing ,so i have to go full speed,slide it and then roll in to grass

i’m landing it 60° how can i fix that?

my local park doesn't have a flat rail, only a ledge :( I can get into them and slide almost the whole ledge but I have a hard time getting out of it for a 5050 and 5-0 I just pop off but i can't manage to get it on a boardslide I have a bunch of tricks but I just never learned board slides because I tried when I was younger and just snapped my board I'm a lil older now and actually have income so i can afford new boards so I just started learning them now lol

Lol idk why but lately all my boardslides have been landing primo when im coming off the railllll help

with my board slides i can slide and get onto the rail, i just always go with one foot and i just can’t bring my other foot any tips?

If you're talking about getting onto the rail with two feet, then it really comes down to commitment. The only way to really battle that is to try to hop on the later part of the rail so you don't have to slide for too long. Also wear a helmet or protective gear to build up your confidence. Really just focus on keeping both of your feet glued onto the board.

It's a Zero flat bar. I haven't seen it sold anywhere else though, I was handed it down from a neighbor. I'd recommend either a FreshPark or Element flat bar though.

Mix of wax and my back wheel not locking. You should’ve seen how much he was waxing it. He mainly waxed the top of the ledge and not the coping, hence why I slipped when my wheels hit the top. Prob could’ve jumped off if it wasnt over waxed
