This is very useful I'm planning to come to Auckland within next few weeks under dependent visa . I am a graduate with TESOL qualification. I'm a English teacher too😊 just mentioned it to get more information from you. When you said about IELTS when you have the Tesol degree don't we have to do it.

මිස්, මම දැනට government university එකක 3rd year ICT Undergraduate කෙනෙක්. මගේ husband ඉන්නෙ New zealand with PR. මම අවුරුද්දකට degree එක hold කරල New zealand එනවා. Visit visa ඇවිත් After 3 months Work permit දාලා වැඩ කරල ආයෙ අවුරුද්දකින් ලංකාවට ඇවිත් degree එක complete කරන්න බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් ඉන්නෙ. ඒ කාල සීමාව තුළ මට part time job එකක් විදියට primary students ලට English medium IT tutor කෙනෙක් වෙන්න පුලුවන්ද? මොකක්ද path එක කියන්න පුලුවන්ද? 😊

If you want to teach at school, then you got to get the registration or else you can have your own tuition classes for kids.

There is no position called assistant teacher.

You have to do the NZQA and check it.

i am a Art teacher at International school (Edexcel). I have a bachelor degree and PGDE. If I score 7 overall in IELTS, is that a qualification to get teacher registration in teacher council?

No dear. IELTS is just a requirement. You have to fulfill other requirements too and thats why you need to do the NZQA assessment.

Hi, Thank you for the informative video, I am a secondary school Physics Teacher, I have a Bachelor of Science, Postgraduate diploma in Nanoscience and nanotechnology degree (Both from Universities of Sri Lanka). In addition to that I pursued a Master of Science in Education from AIMS Campus which is affiliated with Aldersgate College. Is it possible to get teacher registration from the above qualifications?

Unfortunately NZ doesn't give registration for this qualification

If we complete a Edu. matser 1.5 years or 2 years in New Zealand, do they provide the registration

No dear. But if you do a masters in teaching, then you can get registration. Go to uni website and check. The programs that give registration are mentioned there

It has mentioned “This evaluation was conducted using information provided by the applicant and does not guarantee the authenticity of any awards. If verification from a third party was sought, the outcome of that verification is included in the assessment results. Neither employment experience nor English language proficiency were considered in this assessment.”
