I have a request for a movie. Route to a pediatric specialist (not a pediatrician). Example- a pediatric intensivist in the PICU, or trauma surgeon in a children's hospital. Do you have to do an Internal Medicine-> pulminolgy-> peds, or residency in peds-> then fellowship in CC? as well as trauma surgeon in GS-> peds sug.? hope that makes sense.

Good suggestion! I will look into this! Make sure to subscribe to be on the look out for this and upcoming new videos posted every MWF at 5pm CST! And yes, you have to do IM first and then pulm or Gen surg first and then Peds Surg! Not a pedi gen surg but may give you some idea, check out this interview here with Dr. Tatiana Cardenas, a Trauma Surgeon! kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaFky85ym7bQlZM.html A. • @antoineprayer5438

They’re much more similar than different. DO doctors are mostly primary care physicians that specializes in family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, OBGYN, pediatrics, psychiatry, etc. They approach medicine from a hands on and wholistic perspective, which means they examine the effect of body systems on different body systems and how the role of factors, such as lifestyle choices and diet, can affect a person’s health. They also get training in osteopathic manipulative medicine while in med school. MDs make up most of the other specialties and subspecialties in all the other fields of medicine. MDs also focus more on treating the health concern itself. That’s just my 2 cents; I applied to both.

Family medicine has some of the highest burn out rates, though lower then EM. It is one of the least compensated and after taxes and a 250k debt you will be taking 40-50% of your paycheck at home, high malpractice, and brutal hours if you work in PP. You will also be on call often in a hospital setting, have at most 4 days off a month, and will see compensation get lowered while a derm makes 2x your pay for half the hours. Worst of all many states are allowing NP's to practice independently so we will see how that effects primary care.
