The key to success is long-term preparation. As outlined in the video, there are many different topics to cover - and this is not something you can cram. Instead, you need to have a defined study plan over the coming weeks and months. This is particularly true of reading comprehension, grammar, and spelling. Cramming isn't possible for these, neither is logical reasoning skills or memory assessment. The police test has been designed to ensure that only the very best scoring candidates make it through the selection process. So even if you were to cram and "just pass", it wouldn't be enough. The competition, who DID invest the time and effort, would make it through. Try to focus on exam success from this perspective and your approach to it will change accordingly - and for the better, too.

I'm being "recruited" by some Leo friends at the local precinct. I'm seriously considering.

That's probably a reason why there's not that many police officers anymore is because they've made it so hard to become one.

How did it go? Im taking mine in April

This is just the first step. I found out that i passed yesterday. I wrote the exam over a month ago and only found out after i called. Still havent gotten any further instructions. But like everything else in this country, it's expected. When i joined the fireservice, they took an entire year before calling me in to start EMS. Each step before that took months

@@juliocruz9460 study for all materials as much as possible. Don’t overthink the test, the more you stress about the test, the more challenging it could get. Preparing can be different for each department across the nation, but I would recommend studying all aspects of the exam. Usually the department provides a study guide or something to expect on the exam, REVIEW THAT. If they don’t, email the recruiting department and ask them questions about what to expect on the exam. They would usually provide you with answers. Lastly, be confident and positive about the exam. You got this! Good luck!

@@juliocruz9460 no problem! I’ll say the report writing was my challenge due to remembering very detailed information from the video you watched. Even for that, what they look for whether you’ve included more than enough detailed information, accuracy, grammar, organizational writing( writing the facts from A-Z). Everything else I think you’ll do great if you went through high school or college. Good luck!

@@zaddy-im7lo look into penn foster that’s what I’m doing during highschool hated doing any kind of work like doing work that got me payed but idk if it’s cause I hate the warehouse job or if I actually like doing it it’s fun there’s not that much writing in the courses 2 written exams at the end of it then you get ur diploma going into trade school tho after or the union looked into the cop shit and firefighter shit but you gotta get a polygraph done n I used to be hella into drugs so that also knocks me out

The video scenarios are not timed as whole, they are only timed for a response after watching the video-you’ll have 10 seconds to answer the question.
