Dood. I feel your pain. I HATED the chocobo racing in this! I was actually playing on PC and was like "Fuck it! I'm using a mod to stop the timer". I felt no shame.

I had given up on ever getting the Sun sigil, but having watched you do it I figured I'd try again, and I got it!! Thanks to your tips I got 13 balloons and 1 bird hit. Now onto butterfly catching LOL. The devs were really messing with us weren't they

Congratulations once again... Great to see you do it live... I was about to drop off and you got it. Funny part about the balloons is your surprised no matter when you get it. Just two more annoying ones left... Good luck on the damned lightning jump... I screwed up on it @ 88... Just about quit the Platinum hunt on that one & Treasure Race. Still don't have FF 7 due to snowboarding.

I did this before on the PS2, again on the PS3 and because that PS3 died I had to do it again on the PS4, I put on your video just didn't feel like I was doing it by myself and got it by accident while I was half zoned out listening to your video within the first half-hour of starting to try. Cross the finish line with I think 35.8 seconds, 13 balloons and one bird. My cousin was sitting on the couch right next to me and literally said she thought I was having a stroke. May as well have been TBH

My friend and I are playing through this game simultaneously and he refused to even attempt this. I got it for him on my third try, somehow amassing 17 balloons and 2 birds. Of course when I tried in my file, it took me over 100 tries and I only just barely won by getting a 0 bird run.

Congrats on getting in less than a hour this took me forever!!😄

Oh man, something I keep forgetting about but yes definitely a pain too!

After doing this a few times I can easily say that the thing that made the biggest difference for me was when I started using the d-pad instead of the analog stick. I remember suggesting this to you in an earlier video. I hope you tried it!

11/26/23 - Just got this for the first time yesterday after trying off and on since the summer. Easily ran it 1,000 times. You do get more skilled with time but there's a huge luck element with the rng. I had been going for 2-3 hours on the session where I finally got it. Months where I couldn't get below 3.0. Extremely frustrating challenge but it is possible.

When they eventually do a FF X remake, they will hopefully take out these 2 annoying grinding side quests. People were bitching about the Pull Ups side quest in FF VII remake

or at the very least make them more forgiving like at least give Tidus a grace period of like 3 seconds where he can't get hit, because when you get hit once, you always seemingly get hit AGAIN by the Catcher's birds OR someone's birds spawn on top of you before trying to make that left turn to the final stretch, make the camera for the butterfly minigame top down, so at the least it isnt a guessing game on whether or not you'll touch a red butterfly (or make the hitboxes smaller, cause it always seems like I touch one of them but I'm a butterfly and a half away from it..?) just stuff like that would be so nice, especially on repeat playthroughs

This is the only celestial I have not been able to get.

i dont have an answer to this, but for some reason i found this one to be the easiest side mission. I have done this 5+ times and it never takes more than an hour. I hate Blitzball, and the chocobo racing at the temple. But this one has always been easy for me I think its RNG mainly. You need a perfect ballon set up and just get lucky with the birds.

Just restarted playing again. I believe i got 34.3 seconds with 12 balloons and got 0.0 as well.

Ok, I have no idea how I did it but this is my first time playing FFX and I did this on my 4th try! It must be beginners luck haha

When I got this trophy I get a time of 0.1 seconds. After days after that I finally got the trophy.

Funny I'm at the same part and this showed up as a suggestion. First ever playthrough I've probably done about 30 runs. Garbage side quest. Congrats lol.

This mini game already infuriated me and I only did it maybe 10x with a best time of about 24 seconds

So its just Perfect Sphere Master and Penance for my Platinum😄😄😄

i dont know how but i was able to beat this at my 3rd go, maybe because my reflexes are op in real life :)

Nope, I refuse to imagine such nightmares.

I give up after 5 hours of trying. I manage 0 across the board but not below that. I manage to get the trophy for collecting all celestial weapons and upgrade it besides tidus weapon. But since that is not necessary for the plat trophy, i am going to give up on this one.

there any "script" or something like that to make it easy to get the trophy on my ps4 ?

Mate I’m stuck on this race with a time of 0.01 seconds and seen my save file go from 165hrs to 185hrs now.

This and other videos helped me do this, but not because they showed me any trick or strategy. I watched these to see the winning strategy and I open a video of someone doing it and I'm like oh... there're doing the same thing I'm doing. So I'm not wrong in my technique, it's just actually a trash mini game based on rng. There are no tricks or strategies. If you're having a hard time with this remember, it isn't your fault. The mini game is terrible and you literally aren't allowed to win for 80 percent of your attempts or even more. You're rolling 3 dice and need every roll for each section of the race to land exactly perfect. You will get some skill and in those few times the dice roll out correctly you need to perform well. I felt like I was as good as I was going to get about an hour before I beat it though.

After 30 min i finally got the 0:00:00 timer 36:00:00 with 12 ballons... FML :D Edit : I did on more run 36:00:00 with 13 ballons 1 bird ... i will die Edit 2 : i managed to get 15 ballons for 2 birds in 37:41.. Maybe in 1h

When I was playing this side quest my time was 0:0.1. 😂

hey fuzz finger hope everything's going well I've been watching a lot of your videos here for final fantasy 10 you should take the the pre-stream off of your videos cuz who wants to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the video to start up

I was so happy when I beat this. But I refuse to try the lightning dodge and those stupid butterflies although I believe the butterflies are easier than the chocobo race I just don't care for it

There are no trophies for kimharis butterfly game ( and he sucks) so no need to do that one

@@ronaldsoto4474 o contraire, my friend. You need only acquire his weapon (non powered up by the cactaur grave stones) for the trophy. The butterfly thing has no associated trophies.

Besides, Kim's butterfly game isn't too bad. Lulu and tiduss are so much harder. I firmly believe with an hour or two of practice, you can do it. Stick to the sides and learn from your mistakes. You got this

I got the butterfly mini games done in maybe half an hour. But after almost a week of the chocobo race still only had a time of .3 and just gave up.

Can someone help me get past this, I’m at the point where my I’ve been trying all day, I’m on switch, and I can’t take this insanity any longer the closest I’ve gotten is 1.0 does anyone have a hack or cheat that as a switch player I can use just for this segment or one that just lets you get the sun sigil

Yep, horrible quest!

This is the dumbest mini game to ever exist I’ve been at this for 16 hours and I can’t get more than 8 balloons and almost every single time the balloons are either all on the left side or in the direct path of the birds and on the 3rd part the chocobo keeps turning to face the middle when I try to turn left or right(update I got it my next try)

I'm sorry but I'll pay someone to get this trophy for me I already broke 4 controllers it'll be cheaper if I pay someone 😅 I'm serious as a heart attack

There is no rim or reason to this mini game. And its flawed obviously,but yet here were are with yet a remaster version and they still didnt fix it. Things are allowed to be hard. This is unreasonable on multipul lvls. Design. Controls. Macanics. Everything. You cant ever control the bird. Its not fair to the player. And when you realistily have to have all super weapons todo any of the end game quests or fights. Its bullshit. Same with lulus. And like these mini games have nothing to do with the game play. MAKE ME FIGHT A SUPER BOSS. OR A SUPER ENEMY. In a turn base style. Like the FUCKING GAMES MACANICS. shit that MUST have been really hard for the developers. Like jesus. You made the game. Fuck let me play it. Im not here to dodge lighting. Race chickens. Or water soccor/football... ig.

No one needs a fucking hour long explanation.
