I love how Ro-The Games Meister pretended to be annoyed by a really easy task, just to help the viewer empathise with him and make him more of a real character.

"The Games Meister knows all and has everything written down on a piece of paper." That sounds like something out of Monty Python. 😂

Rob as a floating head in the game is a nice touch. He's like Mimir for gamers.

I loved Emma's monologue.

This brings back memories. I remember spending like 20 extra hours in this area just maxing everything out for no reason. I had so much free time back then. Ahh to be young.

This is my first Gamesmeister video, and I originally thought it would just be Rob showing off. But the Gamesmeister showing me what NOT to do was much more informative and entertaining. Thanks Gamesmeister.

Those rogue birds at that big turn down the stretch are the worst, as are the ones that fly into your face just short of the finish line. I came so close to getting this back in the day. I had more balloons than I needed, but one last-second bird smashed me in the face with no warning just before the finish line. I had enough balloons to cancel it out, but the slow-down time put me less than a second over 0.0. Brutal

The lightning dodges were one of the couple trophies I didn't do. I got to the 20's before quitting.

The simple fact that I almost forgotten anything from ffx and 12 but still know many things from 8 and 9 simply shows how much memorable the old games were.

I can't wait to see Rosie as Games Meister. She'll either knock it out of the park immediately and make Rob flip out, or she'll have just as much trouble and will go absolutely crazy like we saw during Christmas Maze! 😂

Depends on the game. Think Rosie is highly adaptable but would love to see her try some hardcore fighting game. Maybe Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. Unsure her experience there. Maybe try the Valkyries in GoW etc.

The rage this mini game still induces in me - I finally got the trophy 20 years after originally playing the game and failing to do this mini game and have never gone near it again!

Always go straight at the beginning, even if you miss a balloon. Trying to cut off the trainer early doesn't work!

2 things. First thing the lightning bolt dodging for me is worse than he race. My attention span loses focus and 200 is a lot of strikes to dodge in a row. Lol 2 you have given me the drive to finish the platinum. I wasnt sure whether to go for it because i heard how hard the colloseum bosses are but if you can tough it out for the platinum so can i. I adore this game so much it deserves the grin of getting it. Ive played it about 10 times. Finally beat it the first time last year. Ive unlocked every boss except the last one. Thank you for convincing me its worth it!💖🙏

I still think the chocobo racing challenges including the Remiem temple are much easier than dodging 200 lightning bolts or even worse, 1000 successful rope jumping in FF9.

So the thing with the lightening dodging is, even though it is frustrating, at least it's semi skill based, meanwhile you're kind of relying on luck of balloon and bird placement here in this challenge. For the Lightening dodge you can actually rely on your reaction time and eyes, even though it can be very tiring

This series is amazing. I laughed so hard!

Iv got my platinum trophy last year. The chocobo race was definitely the most frustrating part of the grind 😂 have a good day everyone 😊

@@shanobian Actually once you have the monster arena and use the master tonberry trick along with triple ap weapons. It was relatively easy and somewhat soothing if you compare it to the chocobo race.

Love that Ro- the Games Meister doesn't hold back his disdain for the length of Emma's video 😂 I can see a word limit rule developing...

i like how FFX had one ultimate weapon challenge that just annoyed everyone but as the intro showed it couldve been multiple things. personally i didnt have issues with chocobo racing but dodge the lightning was my kryptonite.

It is really interesting as I did the lightning dodges with barely any problem, but had major issues with the butterflies!! The Chocobo race was definitely a challenge the first time I encountered it but by the time I came to platinum it I think I did it within an hour or so!

I think they all test different things of your skills. Like the lightening strikes is patience and quick button timing, for some, that may be difficult, for others who have patience it's probably easier

You have to get in front of the Trainer at all costs. Even if it means letting her get the left balloons at the start. Let her nudge you to the right as she tries to come back in front and you’ll lead the whole way. Also getting around that sharp right turn at the end of the first straight is key. The rest is down to balloon distribution, skill and luck.

I’ve had to do this three times. PS2, Vita and the Switch. It’s so painful, especially when you’ve collected all the balloons, dodged the birds and realise you actually still need to come in first lol.

@@htogr26 Even with the muscle memory, sometimes it's taken me hours to get it... but this time was perfect... 1 close attempt to get the guy to move, pick up the Caladbolg, 3 where the RNG put the starting balloons closer to the trainer, then boom... got it.

There's a spot where you can induce a lightning strike by approaching it, and it's only ever a single strike. That's how most of us did it I think. Trying to predict the quick ones is a nightmare.

I swear they made this mini game harder in the remaster. More birds or stronger homing or something.

I love Dan in the beginning

I was extremely surprised when I did this to find that I got it in like 5 tries. I thought it was an absolute nightmare when I did this on PS2.

Emma seemed like such a calm person but after learning of all the things she would have said while playing this.. I’m not sure anymore 🤣

It took me a good hour and half to get this trophy… but now I’m stuck on defeating all the dark aeons 😵‍💫

I found this to be the easiest of all the mini games and lightning dodges the hardest because who has the patience to stand still and tap x for 30 min or more 😫

In the previous stream of knowledge that the meister bestowed upon us, I requested help with reaching 7-99 in Spelunky 2. Now I realize that it was an unreasonable and momentous ask, because that would be too long, and not at all because I think it is impossible for the meister. So I would like to change my request to a demonstration on how to achieve the "Low Scorer" trophy in Spelunky 2.

This is just another reason Rob hates seagulls, isn’t it?

Chocobo Catcher, one of the most horrendous tasks in gaming. Finally did it a few years ago on PS4 after 20 years of trying. Uploaded the save to PSN, saved it on a memory stick. Saved it on another memory stick. Never am I going though that again. Same with Wrong Side of the Tracks.

Vod squad! This was one of the worst trophies to get for the platinum! I made certain to end my journey on Penance, not on damn chocobo races 😂
