At the 35 minute mark in the video, if you already have your knight on c3 and the queen moves to b6, move your a2 pawn to a3, when the queen takes your b2 pawn, move your knight on c3 to a4 and trap the queen. It will take some more moves to capture the queen, once you do that , you will still be able to take the rook on a8 with your queen or knight depending on if your opponent takes your knight once it's on b6. and your queen will be sitting on a1 so it can take the rook if needed.

As a London player, I found this video extremely useful :) just a quick question though regarding the first "puzzle warm-up" position. It seems like a position you wouldn't normally get to, as playing 8.Bg3 expecting for black to _maybe_ play 8. Nh5 doesn't seem like a realistic option. I was wondering if there is a more realistic sequence of moves to get to a similar position where you allow the knight to capture the bishop on g3 so you can play Bxh7+ ?

It does occur sometimes, depending on your rating. The main point of studying lines like these however, is to recognize the patterns when they do occur, even when the position isn't 100% the same. When you recognize the pattern just remember this line and calculate if it still works.

10:12 after 12.Nexf7+ Rxf7 it's even better to play 13.Bxd6, because if Black isn't careful and retakes 13...Qxd6?, 14.Nxf7+ wins the queen :) if they don't, it just transposes to the line shown, so just an additional little trap at no risk. to Stockfish it makes no difference -- this nicely illustrates that what's good for humans isn't necessarily good for Stockfish.

At like 8:00 minutes they discuss how you can't do the Greek gift bc the knight can just go back but what if after the check with ng5 if you just take their knight with your other knight and move your queen if they take the knight back or take the rook if they try to kick the g5 knight and just move the g5 knight back to f3 meaning you'd be up a rook for a bishop if the attack fails or you'd be mating if they took d7 and you were able to get the queen over without interference

I wondered the same thing. I had to check with an engine, but I should have calculated it out. I just don´t have much experience with the greek gift, so sometimes forget to check defensive resources. But from memory, the point is that in this position, the black king comes to g6 (after Ng5+). And if then Qg4 for example, black has f5, hitting the queen and also giving the king the f7 square to escape to. :) Ben Finegold has a decent lecture on the greek gift, where I think he said that if the black king comes to g6, there´s usually a 50/50 chance that black gets mated or escapes and is a piece up. But obviously one should calculate super well, especially in slow chess. In blitz I guess, when the king come to g6, it´s usually difficult to defend. :)

How to pronounce "Zwischenzug" like a german made easy: Both Zs are not like the Z in squeeze They are like ts in cats, rats or chats The W is not like in world or the french word for yes ("Oui") The W is like an English V (as in very or just V) The rest is correct for most people "tsvischentsug" but for those who don't know: the U is like oo in cool the sch is like sh rest is same as English "tsvishentsoog"
