    2:31 That does not look like it has a potable angle, and yet it goes in at medium speed. 7:56 Because the cue ball went in the direction of the spin, doesn't it mean that you hit the object ball first and then the cushion, hence the cue ball went in the spin direction? Had it hit the cushion first, the right side spin would take effect, hit the black and then continue at a ~90° relative to the cushion. Greetings from Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

  • @nicktrousers

    @nicktrousers

    3 жыл бұрын

    At 2:31 i think what makes it go in easier is the natural top spin the red gets from rolling on the table and after the hit on the red along the cushion (quite thick hit) it does not simply leave the red at a 90 degree but arcs forward toward the pocket because of the topspin. I guess its what the call natural angle. The red will basically pot with varying degrees of thickness of contact on the second red always close to the natural angle not just because there is room for error in the pocket size. Its close to the pocket and it kind of arcs into it. It tends to leave at that natural angle. . Unless you hit it too thin or too thick obviously... but there is an in between where it works. About 7:56 im not sure... i feel like when i play those i hit cushion first. The cushion compresses and the side spin makes the black go. And because of cushion compression the black will go more often than you think with different amount of side spin and power. Not super consistently though but quite a bit. Although i understand what you mean about it leaving at 90 degrees... not sure about this one. Although the amount of side spin needed for this shot is a lot and if you just hit a cushion head on with so much side spin it leaves at a very different angle to what you see here after the black gets potted. So its definitely cushion first and then black and it leaves very close to 90. Maybe someone else can come along and give his view about these 2 points
