@@moh_zahk8719 is a genuine cultural question, the cultures of the Indian subcontinent developed many amazing things, like chess, curry, Taj Mahal, etc etc etc, but never the concept of elevating the work surface from the ground. The same with traditional Japanese shops, they literally work standing inside a hole in the ground. Is it because wood was too expensive for artisans to afford it? I am genuinely curious.

@@elluisito000 the climate in most asian countries are warm compared to cold climate of Europe. Thats why people avoided sitting on floor with crossed leg or working on the floor by sitting in squatting position in Europe. In Asia, you can easily sit on floor and carry out your work without needing extra things like table.
