This was by far the best explanation I've seen for this topic. I've gone through textbooks, other videos, websites and even "chemistry for dummies" and none of those sources clarified the objective and process so clearly. Thank you very much. You have quite a talent for simplifying confusing subjects.

That is what he's saying IT IS 3! Since it's a charge you add plus in the front to differentiate it from a -3. If you just put 3 there is no specification to know how to balance the other side to become positive or negative
