A big source of scammers I see is fake "stores" in google results selling rare frames and parts. There are 4 or 5 such legit looking "stores" out there, and you can tell the images are pulled from past ebay sales. Fir example I came across a Redline RL-20 II frame and fork listed for $160 and "in stock." Total scam.

Love your channel. I recently found someone trying to sell my Haro Sport from a fake page on Facebook. They lifted the pictures from my BMX Museum profile. Uggghhh. I reported it to Facebook, but it's still up.

Me and you in the same boat. I spent an hour looking through profiles on IG the other night while laying in bed and found 5 scammers and 2 of them had my bikes in pics. Reported and blocked them all. All of them had sales in the end. Its a never ending cycle. Sucks for the noobies who get suckered in by the scammers. Also post the screen shots of the scammers and post them on the bmx scammers outed page on facebook

Hey man I love your channel. I used to rock a GT performer back in the 80s then ended up with a couple more throughout the 80s and early nineties. Lost interest for a couple decades after that and now I'm getting back into it. I need to know if you know anything about a 1996 Haro Group 1 elite. I've had one sitting around for a long time just the frame and forks. I was thinking about getting it built back up just not sure if it's worth the money. Any advice would be well received. The only reason I want to build it up is because I've never been able to find this frame anywhere else.

Also shop around, don't buy the first bike or part you see.. I paid $300 for some used GT Pac Man forks only to find a brand new NOS GT Pac Man fork 5 minutes later for literally half that price... I was being too lazy to search other sources and paid a steep price... Also watch out for knock off parts GT and Haro are notorious victims of having their products replicated. It's a gamble with buying bikes so do your homework..

I don't have fb or Instagram, but I'm sure there are other ways people can still scam. Thanks for the information

I sent parts out to someone to get painted and he sent everything back but he stole the seat post and he had my dyno and my 87 day glow pfttm for 5 years and left it and didn’t give them back. They dyno was a pro compe. He also repaired the seat post on it but out in the wrong size.

My brother I'm looking to built my dyno comp frame. I found at yard sale .can you recommend any where beside ebay to get parts .I probably can't afford old school parts so I will use new school parts .

@Rad BMX Builds OH one more question brother.. Is there anyway to find out the original color for my dyno by the serial number? Right now it's rattle can.im hoping to powder coat the original color or chrome plate..thank you in advance.

Dunno what it is with the tiger stamped Tufneck stems on eBay they're so over priced its not even funny one guy wants $720. I scored a couple nice polished DK stems for a lot cheaper. I did bid on an old chrome 84 GT Pro Performer frame and fork and overpaid a bit but that was only because that bike has some sentimental value to me since my original 84 GT Pro Performer was stolen from me as a kid.Thanks for the scam tips in this video dude!!

Ive got several messages from the oldschool BMX bike sellers saying i won a free bike buy winning some dumb contest. How are these clowns using this to rip me off? Getting my personal info? Name, address? Something like that? All the pics of these bikes have different backgrounds and picture quality. Man whats the deal?

This is true and sad I did a deal with a guy I was talking to for weeks on Facebook I trusted him BAD IDEA on my part but i guy the guy the benefit of the doubt sent him my racing dyno and he never sent me his bike and when I got the cops involved he sent me mine back stripped just frame and fork after that, he deleted all his social media and must’ve been using a fake phone number now im stuck with a bare frame smh 😢

Great video! I've been seeing alot of oldschool high-end bikes.on websites for $86.00! Ha! Hey have you seen Monza's new white bikes? I wonder what the white 26" crew mags would look like on their 26" white Monza? Their 24" white bike comes with white Skyways. Have you ever seen the Crew Mags?
