I’m the anti purist. It’s all about making the bike yours
Wouldn’t be a custom build within a few hiccups. I’m building one of the 2024 skyway street beats up, and I anticipate quite a few bumps along the way. Wouldn’t have it any other way though. Custom FTW!

Yeah that'll be sick
I am definitely looking forward to these builds, especially the blue! Back in 89 a friend of mine had a chrome T/A with white Tuff2s, red tires, seat, grips, and pads and I always thought it was rad, so these are fun memories.

Very cool!
Pipe cutter is the way to go for sure. Super clean 90deg cut and finish it off with a chamfer from a file on the outside edge. Should be able to pick a pipe cutter from a plumbing hardware store for about 30 bucks. Takes about 5 minutes to do.

They make a cutting guide clamp for shortening your forks or handlebars. You can use a sawzall, jigsaw, hack saw!

Heavy duty pipe cutter does a real nice job , cutting stems. Mountain bike mechanic showed me this

@KRISHNACONDITIONER it depends on how high you want your handlebars.
All ya need is a hack saw to cut the steer tube on the fork. Nothing fancy. Love the red build.
You have to build the white one, because I was 24 hours from buying that thing myself. Cant wait to see it!
@RadBMXBuilds

Already building it 👍
It's pretty red, and that's pretty rad!!! threadless, euro BB and v brakes are all better. Cut the fork. They do it all the time in mountain biking.
Go with the white one! That will be your best build yet!
Bike shops cut down forks all the time, or you can get a pipe cutter.
A friend of mine built the red candy chrome version too…absolutely sick!
Don't need to apologize for anything. Any content is great content. I enjoy watching your builds. Thanks for sharing!

Great job, dude! I had the fork issue on a recent build. I just measured and took a hack saw to it. Cleaned it up with a file and worked perfect. I totally agree with you. I don’t care for all those spacers.

I know im one of 50 commenting the same thing probably...i typically cant offer much advice to you cause im not great at messing with bikes. However i do know about forks. You can cut those off where you want. You can use a typical hand Hacksaw..ive had to do this with my mountain bike. Very easy...Bike looks great. Shoot id even go so far as to put some red tires on that thing lol..Have a RAD night and keep up the good work.
It's probably designed to be cut; MTB forks are like that it's probably the same. Sick builds 🤙
👑the king of BMX Builds💪...great video and great build....no better colors than red white and blue.... excited to see the other 2...Im definitely an old school BMX guy so my favorite out of the 3 will be the white one...can't wait to see your next video....

Thanks 👍I appreciate your continued support
I always thought it a pity that Skyway produced both tuff wheels and the TA. They seem bery mismatched. Tuff wheels are durable but heavy and flexy. The TA was light and designed as a racing machine. In freestyle it mainly excelled on big ramps and skatepark riding. All to often the company promoted the two together. Glad you used real wheels for this build.
There beautiful Skyways. Like them all. There all the best. I suppose white next. Like the red white n blue. Very patriotic

Thank you
At almost any hardware store, in the plumbing supply section you should be able to find a hand-held, rotary pipe cutter. They're very easy to use, just take your time. Remember to gently file the inside and outside of the fork tube to eliminate sharp edges and burrs. Alot easier to get a straight cut than eye balling it with a haaaaaaack saw.😖🥴😵💫 Bike looks bitchin'. Best of luck!👍
Dude, that red and black is sick!

Custom builds every day brother!! This looks so sick, and I love how easy Euro BBs are to install.
Sic...that's like a red dream .
This red bike turned out looking nice.. Other than those spacers.. Pretty sure they sent those long so people can cut them to there desired rise... One spacer is all i'd leave on it an cut it down... Nice bike... Cant say build since you didnt really show us much of you building it... lol Maybe the next one... I'm diggin' the red/white/blue your doin.. I really like that blue but Def. the white old school spec one... I always wanted one of these and never owned one... Cant wait to see that one done...

Awesome stuff man I am looking into buying a 97/98 dyno slammer I don't know what year it is but I noticed that the "dyno" stamp on the frames are different on some and I was wondering if it was a fake or not I never was a dyno guy I'm more into haros but you have to read it if you were standing behind the bike and yet I seen some where you have to read it standing in front of the seat if anyone can explain this I'd appreciate it alot✌🏼

@RadBMXBuilds sorry lol the step plate on the frame right in front of the seat clamp I have seen the dyno logo in different positions on some....the one I'm looking into buying you can read it the correct way when standing behind the bike looking down at it and some I have seen you have to be standing in front of the bike looking down
Super nice build as usual man! Just curious, how tall are you? I think these look a lot better with a laid back post but I am 6ft2! Can't wait to see the other 2 builds, not to mention I AM a Tuff Wheel guy!
