Yeah I had that problem... after the 3rd time complaining and pointing things out that any NON trained eye could see I gave up, now I've got edges coming off around my hood, trunk, and doors... and this is the good XPEL stuff... well.. few more years and I'll need to get someone else to do it..

PPF leads the way by far! It's either full wrap plus coating or partial wrap plus coating...not a lot of coating by itself.

@@Esotericdetailnot that anyone’s choice is wrong. This seems to hobbyists and passion car care freaks. Like taking a guitar and putting it in a glass case. My humble opinion. I’m actually working to going back to wax for the more hands on approach and looks Of course mileage may very. A lot of daily drivers that I don’t blame getting wrapped. To supercars that get driven once a year.

@@ssing7113 Regardless of how much it is driven, PPF preserves the condition and therefore the investment. Having a car fully wrapped also changes the mindset of the driver as you're just not as worried about it!

I just came across your channel. I just picked up my 2023 Ford Maverick that I ordered 14 months ago. It's my first brand new truck. I have had it for 4 months now. I have been taking it to a touchless car wash about every two weeks. I am trying to find out what to do. Do I need to wax it since it's new. I have watched so many videos. Do I use the past wax or spray on. Thanks. I really appreciate any advice.

You can apply whatever form of protection you like to it, however the modern sprayable products will save you a lot of time versus paste wax. Take a look at something like this: www.esotericcarcare.com/polishangel-rapidwaxx/

I wouldn’t go wax yet considering you’re taking it to touchless washes. Most people hands off should just take to a detailer and get a ceramic coat. Will have the best bang for buck maintenance for car. And rim coating as next level. If you want to start learning car care. Get some sort of 0 PPM water system. You need at least a 3 inch polisher. Pads with sonax perfect finish. And the whole stuff for car care.. and learn the system over months. There’s no easy step as this is like walking into a bar saying you want to be a lawyer. There’s lot of work. Time. Energy. Finances into the hobby and wanting the degree after a week. Tod the guy making the videos has done detailing for over I think 30 years and he still learns everyday.. First decide how dedicated you are and want to be. No problem if it isn’t for you as why do you think most peoples car look horrendous. Again two paths. Submit car will never be super as there is an art to hand washing Maintaining cars. It’s a hobby / lifestyle. So if not just get a ceramic coating. Take the car every two years into a detailer. Be happy If you wanna learn the system how to properly care for cars. You can still end on a spray on coating / ceramic coat / sealant / possibly wax but most time consuming and for the intimate car lover if you really get into car detailing. No easy answer as I tried to condense a lifelong passion for some into a few paragraphs. One problem is the longer you wait the more corrective damage you will do leaving it without any coating / products. Not a rush as a polish would take years of damage off a car. But the sooner the easier time someone will have from new car status.
