So important to consider these aspects of Saturn’s symbolism. A lot to consider there. I didn’t know that Frida Kahlo had a prosthetic leg- so glad to learn more about her and the significant role illness and disability had in her life. Obviously it didn’t stop her from making a brilliant impact on the world. Definitely want to see a “don’t be afraid of Mars” in the future. Mars is a very misunderstood archetype.

Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is a very Saturnian metaphor. In the story, Pink built a metaphorical wall around his heart to protect himself from being emotionally hurt. Then he found that he was safe, but terribly lonely, and still afraid. In the end, there's no such thing as safety, because the wall itself will hurt you. People think Saturn is about boundaries, limitations, regulations, rules. But if those boundaries are lies, Saturn will tear them down. He counters Neptune in that way. Especially when he links up with the Sun or Pluto. And when he's together with Uranus, KABOOM!

I’m looking forward to the upcoming talk on why not to be afraid of the 12th house. I’m a Pisces rising and Pluto is About to go back into my 12th house possibly for the rest of my life. I can’t say that I’m not worried that it will somehow take away my faculties and personal agency. Especially because my natal Mars will make a whole sign house opposition to it from the 6th.

I'm having my 2nd Saturn return in the 10th and boy i am feeling deterioration! Some big things in fall..relationship, home & career yet i know it's a necessary 'living in the wild/re-build/turning point' time. The word limbo has been swirling in my mind but i'm going to replace it with threshold. So much better. Thanks for the pep talk Adam, i will be listening to this on repeat, so much wisdom! 💖

Okay, this is blowing my mind. I just picked this at random, being a Capricorn rising, but had always identified myself more with my Sun in Aries. I've hated the Saturn Capricorn and been plagued with setbacks most of my life, and all the cliches we think of Saturn. After a huge shake-up in my life that turned it upside down, I am reinventing myself as a tarot reader, astrologer, and author. I am also a loner and studying esoteric subjects like Hermeticism, and am definitely the "black sheep" of the family (they abandoned me after the stroke) and often refer to myself as a "heretic." These are things I never knew could be associated with Saturn. I think I may be a LOT more Capricorn than Aries! PS. Someone once referred to me and a friend as the Far Side for her because she was so silly, and me as "The Dark Side!"

For what it's worth, I feel like Saturn 🪐 is the immovable object to Mercury's⚡️🌡unstoppable force, to borrow an idea! I'd rather be on its side, as it's not so much fear, but a kind of bracing! Now, I'm intrigued by its mysticism and romanticism, which I assumed was the purview of Jupiter and Venus, respectively! 🎉 Here we go.... deep distillation of a paradigm shift of perspective on Saturn!

I started learning astrology with placidus, this places Saturn in my 7th, AQua moon & stellium in the 4th square Saturn, moon trine Uranus in the 12th. I spent time as a child in church, Sunday school & felt comfortable there, but also questioned everything. When I lost my mom, the answers were insufficient & I left church. Also, Venus in Cap trine Saturn, square Uranus. This all made sense to me, I was doing ancestry work looking for my biological father, my mother passed when I was 17, the exact degree of both Saturn & my moon. However when I use whole sign, Uranus moves to the 1st, Saturn in the 8th, this also makes sense. Saturn frustrates me like everything I saw growing up, but I see what he wants to teach me, I know my reality would be smoother sailing if I just reconcile & incorporate this teaching. Ancients thought of Saturn with the hard work of the harvest, but also I think, the fair distribution of it. Saturn & I have a challenging relationship, I tend to Uranus, but with the awareness that I am going against established norms, someday I will find the balance. Right now I am weaving, putting my spin on an old technique, I love the feeling of completion when knotting my work. Thank you Adam, this was awesome🙏

Born with Saturn Conjunct my Sun by 1º in the 5th and have always saw this as you first described…limiting self-beliefs, a downer in general, teaching me hard lessons, hard work, etc….but I relate so much more to this placement now that I have watched and listened. The quote you gave from Fuccino about Astrology being Saturnian stuck with me the most since learning, practicing then teaching others about astrology gives me the most joy. I’m going to have to take a new look at my chart through a more informed understanding of Saturn.

Thank you for sharing this amazing presentation. I am Cap rising with Jupiter & the moon conjunct the ascendant. I first became acquainted with astrology using Placidus, so Jupiter and the moon are 12thH as well as Neptune (degree based conjunction with ASC etc) and Uranus. I so look forward to the “don’t be afraid of the 12th house” talk. For the last few years, I have been looking at the sunrise when I can. “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost is my go-to. Like, even panic-recited it once. I bet I learned it when we read _The Outsiders_ in school. Just offering my perspective on how I’ve come to learn the 12th/Saturn being a Cap rising.

Thankyou for all the new ways to percieve Saturn. Great to hear how Saturn was percieved in ancient times. Still digesting :) Feminine. mysicism and romance? I can believe, how the negating princip can be a motivating factor for action by holding up the ideal with the still not perfect. How two things can be looked at simultaniusly. Then there is the melancholi, there is alot of beauty because it lives in the heart. A lot of atmosphere, dense, dark. A little suppriced though about it not seeing things clearly. I always thought of it as being busy percieving reality in a very Logic and rational way. Very ineresting actualy. Also i always saw it as the opposite of the Moon, thats what i have been Reading so far. I remember singing in a choir from the Sabian symbols as being part of capricorn. So many things run through me, but the first thing i thought of was what some call Nordic Noir. This is the athmosphere so saturnic i feel. There is a beautiful piano theme from a movie Series called Beck. (A crime inspector) Called: Beck soundtrack intro. And another intro to same series that visualy realy captures the athmosphere of Nordic noir. Called: Beck 27 intro final master. See you :)

🪐 Saturn as a gatekeeper of realms, potentially neuter or shares duality as feminine, walks the line of opposition which is exalted in libra. Rules the signs that bring back the light to begin again or transcend as a creative process that requires form to manifest. Makes sense the joy of Saturn would be the house of isolation and spiritual diligence, a contemplative place between the material and transcendent, a liminal space that finds its comfort outside of “society” 🤫 😂 Love the mini master class thanks 🙏

Thank you for this perspective. My Cap Asc, Aqua Moon, Pisces Sun feels validated in a new way - as a ‘child of Saturn,’ lacking fatherly figures somewhat isolated me from girlfriends who are able to naturally navigate masculine energies, also ties into my Aries Venus/SN conj. At this point celibacy feels like the best option while the yin and yang are learning to come into better balance..maybe another leg of Saturn discipline? Maybe an inevitability considering the ruler of my 7th opposes my chart ruler (Moon opp Saturn)? Maybe preparation for an upcoming 12th house profected year haha #grabbed With gratitude and blessings ❤
