    I’ll be visiting this episode again sometime as I’ll both be learning that hermetic chart system and I’ll add “thrones, cheribum, and Seraphim” are likely references to fixed stars. Since I’m here and there’s a visual.. in Rosicrucianism they refer to the formation of the galaxy as “old Saturn” as it was a ball of warmth that extended from the center of the chart to the sphere of Saturn. Then, looking at the center, it entered the “old sun” phase, next to old moon stage, then what we know as earth. The war in the heavens is refering to the compression of the cosmos that broke apart and then materialized into orbits. In their story it started as totality sort of gaseous, started forming a star, started to cool which formed the modern moon as it shed and then, heat plus expansion and compression broke the rest apart into what we see as the 7 planets. More confusing, it says the esoteric meanings of mercury and Venus are reversed, but that may be a reference to the heliocentric vs geocentric model. Sphere of moon is the world of the angels, they have the most individual impact. Archangels, sphere of mercury. Archai, sphere of Venus. Sphere, not just planets which relate to the physical. The actual orbits. Good times.

    My son is such a dragon AND a spiritual warrior!!! My dad had his ascendant there. He REALLY WAS the fastest and the strongest. He won gold in junior Olympics decathelon. My son is 3.5 but I sooooo see this and see why he’s stubborn even though his top 3 are mutable! His Sun is at 2/3 Virgo … i so we get Regulus energy at the same time. I am a solo parent 🤦🏻‍♀️ He is SO determined, omg. They are both in angular houses, too! When I took a class last year I think the Gem one was at 8 the sag one at 9 and if I remember right regulus getting closer to 1, no? Well it’s gotta be in between the two… I don’t see it as strong in him but definitely leader energy there.

    This was a great overview. I did have a tiny bit of a bone to pick re: Cap and Vega tho-I don’t understand why there’s a constant need to peg Capricorn as ‘dusty’ or somehow so much the opposite of Vega that it doesn’t make sense it would be there. Idk, it’s disappointing to continually hear this from astrologers. Adam, I think you’re one of the only astrologers I’ve come across that captures the more dreamy, artistic, at-the-threshold quality that Capricorn embodies. Because when you understand Cap in the way you present it, the myth of Orpheus + the way it relates to Vega actually makes a lot of sense there… this is just my 2 cents tho.

    Finally some good info on the fixed stars! I tried to search online for something in the past, but i could only find the typical "you will be married and get rich" or "you will die horribly". I have at least 4 stars prominent in my chart.

    Thank you for this! I knew that my Uranus and ascendant are right on Spica and Arcturus, but I did not know about Capella, which actually is my Sun and south node ruling my MC and ruling my Mars which is ruler of the 2nd and 7th. A defining point of my life for years has been that I take care of and feed the animals, particularly cats.

    Thank you so much for sharing this presentation! It was so clear and insightful, and it has stimulated my curiosity about the fixed stars! This is probably a poor question but I wanted to ask--despite my sun's position at 29 degrees of Leo, I don't feel that I embody many Regulus qualities--could this be because Regulus has moved to the first degree of Virgo or is this just more reflective of other aspects of my chart?

  • @hellyjones

    Thank you so much!! Would the nodes also be affected by the fixed stars, or not really since they are a calculated point in the chart?

    my chart ruler (mars) is conjunct regulus at 29° leo (that's where it was when i was born), but it's also being squared by saturn at gemini 0°. Does anybody know how to interpret all this? 😅

  • @nevisysbryd7450

    @nevisysbryd7450

    Quite a potent Mars as it is also in its bound/term and face/decan (by both systems) there. It is liable to bring out Regulus's more aggressive side (it was described as a Jupiter-Mars-like star) of aggression, conquering, defending one's power/position/group, vengefulness. This overlaps with the decan, which is also about defending one's throne, as well as enjoying the opulence of said power. The Saturn square is definitely not great, although it is also worth noting that it crosses sign/house boundaries, which weakens it dramatically, as Saturn is technically squaring Virgo 0, not Leo 29. Might be a melancholic or tragic weight (both Saturn and Pleiades) or an ability to see things others have difficulty perceiving or foreseeing being a bit of an obstacle for or dead weight holding back that martial/Regulus activity. While Saturn is not in decan there, that decan is also associated with the execution of institutional and authority figures, including monarchs, which might be worth considering if it seems appropriate.

    @@nevisysbryd7450 wow, thank you for the detailed explanation!! 💖 honestly, the holding back of saturn is all I feel regarding this aspects, and discovering its coniunction to the Pleaides (and the explanation you gave of it) kind of confirmed it all. Thank you again 💖
