@@firstlast8258 I delivered to an apartment building the other day and it was on level four. I was able to get inside because the lady let me inside but she looked really scared, so when she got in the elevator I decided to take the stairs instead four floors are pretty bad but what the heck. Turned out the stupid apartment building starts at level 0 so the first floor is actually the second floor so that fourth floor wound up being the fifth floor. I wasn't even sure I was in the right building because the address is completely weird, luckily the guys actually standing outside his apartment as soon as I got to the floor. The guys through all the debris off the back into the parking lot, this included dozens of beer cans.,🍻 Then, only after they threw everything on the ground and it completed it, they ordered the dumpster and had to pick up everything off the ground and move it into the dumpster. The whole time I was wondering why didn't they just put the dumpster there and throw the stuff in directly? A couple months later they hired somebody else to come in and do the roof again.

I've just memorized the locations and addresses of the worst apartments in my area. Once you learn how a complex is set up, they can be just as fast as a home drop off. The big issue for me is the ones that require a code to get in, or the massive ones with key card elevators and you have to use a parking garage.

Thankfully I had a distinct appearance, but honestly using doordash as someone who lives in complexes was sometimes a hassle cause of all the confusion.

I asked a resident who lived there for help and she said “I don’t have time to help you because I’m running late for work.” When she left out of the gate I drove my car in through the exit gate to make my delivery. As luck would have it, I came back the next day for another delivery and this same woman car would not start. She needed a jump off. I don’t need to tell y’all, but all of a sudden I didn’t have time. This woman didn’t even remember me but I reminded her of her words.

The worst complexes are those new suburban apartments with underground parking or have a parking garage located inside the building. Then it's a code just to get into the apartment and you literally walk FOREVER to get to the correct door. No thank you. I'm fine with pre-2010 apartment buildings in the suburbs. I usually can navigate those pretty quickly. But not these new apartments with all enclosures and codes.

Location location location! If you're around a bunch of high-rises that suck and for parking too I bet. The max set of steps I ever went up was 3, and they're always front facing with a parking lot

You either get to know your neighborhood and don’t accept those kind of orders. Or you leave them at the front door or the front entrance of the building! You can text the person and let them know you’re there and they can either meet you there at the front door, like if it was the front door of the house or they can come pick it up at their leisure after you’ve sent them a picture showing where it is. you are NOT obligated to walk around inside of somebody’s building looking for them, it’s the same as walking into somebody’s house… it’s totally dangerous for women, especially at night when you don’t know what’s lurking around that corner or in that hallways fu*ck that!! Don’t let these cheap ass lazy customers tell you that you have to do that when you don’t! It’s not your problem that they live in an apartment instead of a house. And no; I’m NOT kidding.

Most money comes from apts. it’s not as easy for them to go out and back like a house person can. Low key hate apt runs but that’s mostly what I get. Good exercise though

Im paranoid about getting towed even though im usually only away from the car for a few minutes. Not all complexes have visitor spots and the majority of them in my city tow cars that dont have a permit displayed
