Drug dealers only last roughly 2 years before being caught and regretting the whole thing. Knowledge is key and knowing this keep yourself honest and you will win the long game. I am 50yo and outlasted all those drug dealers in NYC by working hard and legally. I now make more than drug dealers.

They actually do and the reason that you might not be getting uber eats orders is because you're not taking enough. Doordash is just more transparent that they will penalize you if you don't take enough orders. Meanwhile, uber eats is in the dark about how much you have to take to keep receiving orders. I challenge you to test this and take every Uber eats order Even if it's just 10 orders in a row, you'll realize it'll start picking up a lot more

@timr1627 yeah, I have gotten that pop-up. Very disappointing. I hate that either penalize you for not subsidizing their ridiculously cheap orders for them. Screw that. I have over 6100 deliveries just with Doordash and the cheap ones with no tip (2.00) or 3 or 4 dollar ones almost always turn out to be an extra pain to deliver. A million stairs or lot of walking to get to, (like $3.25 order to top floor of ancient building on college campus, long way from parking lot and 2 flights of stairs before an elevator was available, then across long building to other end to deliver and guy could not be found. Unclear instructions on where his office was. Cheap orders tend to be the worst. One day got one for $2 to shop at dollar general for 3 30 packs of water. That would kill me. And where it went, I already knew had stairs no matter what floor it was on. I unassigned it.

They both are just as bad and market dependent. The southern area I work in has more DD customers. As I move north, UE will start having about the same as DD. Both will still give good and bad offers. I just like how UE interface allows customers to see where my car is so they are ready for me, but it’s not always perfect because I’ve had customers say I’m not there yet and they showed me where my car was on their app, stating I was still half a mile away 😂

We don't work for the customer, we work through doordash and dd is the one that has to compensate us because the customer does not have to tip. it's up to dd to give us the money. If you notice at least in my area if I take a 3 or $4 order and then some really good ones come through, they will give me some good orders and also sometimes they double it to make up for the lower orders. In my opinion it's not really what the customer does it's what doordash does and we're not employees. Doordash averages out for the REGULAR drivers. If you do it just part-time as far as hours in the app for 23 hours and then you have another job you may not make nothing or you may make $15 or so on. But if you are regular driver during the day you should be making 20-$30 an hour

After doing UE a couple of years, I finally figured out why pay is so high when you're on highway coming to town or heading home. It's because you have more miles to drive. I couldn't understand why I was getting $26 to deliver hotdog meal, but I received order before I had got all the way to town from small town where I lived. This made it 9 miles. I was going to food area anyway, so it was awesome to make that much. I happened to be the only one doing UE most the time in a couple small towns

Dashers, Uber eats Drivers and Grubhub drivers should pick up orders only when it says 1 Mile = $1+ Tips, Example Order value $5, 7Miles, this is a Bad order. If the Order value is $5+ Tips, distance is 3 miles or 4 miles this is a good order. When you are driving you should consider Depreciation of the Vehicle, wear & tear of vehicle, Gas used for driving and your time spent driving the vehicle. If you are not following these rules then you are wasting your time and Money. If you are delivering food in a bigger city then you should be getting more than this money. Thank you and Good Luck Guys.

And of course it's going to snow at least 2 to 4 in tomorrow when I need to go and purchase the scooter so I can get back to work. So now I have to wait till the snow melts and then get a scooter quickly and try to make as much money as I can as fast as possible. I think I'm going to have to try Uber eats.

I see people saying they’ve had bad experiences with food delivery (as a customer) and honestly that sucks. I’ve had one bad experience and it wasn’t even my drivers fault. The place just screwed it up massively and obviously he can’t open my food and check. Uber did refund me my order thankfully but I did leave the guys tip as what I originally set. It blows my mind how scummy some people are though where they’ll get there food fast, perfect. And reduce or take away the tip entirely

Before Postmates merged with Uber eats they paid for mileage AND base pay plus the tip. So much better than DoorDash. I’m sure they still do it that way with Uber Eats but I’m not down bad enough to work for them again. The pay isn’t worth the time. Started working delivery for dominos and it’s so much more forgiving. Hourly base pay + tips are a LOT better. And I get paid $0.38 per mile. Over the course of two years it’s covered all my car repairs and gas with extra left over. The compensation is great and I just overall make more than any non-industrial job in the area.

There is one downside they charge you to use the app. If you look at your year earnings summary it's all there. I made like 10300 according to UberEATS last year. But they actually only paid out like 6500 the difference is money you are never paid but will still have tax liability on. It's true that you can. Deduct this fees UberEATS is passing onto us. But it's not like it's a hundred percent tax deductible. Lyft and Uber are the only ones that charge fees like this by passing on tax liability. GrubHub and doordash do not do this

I think door dash you can make more money. You can dash outside of your zone if you choose. You don’t have to work a lot of hours to make money. Uber Eats will send you ever order in and outside your area. You will drive a distance to pickup and deliver a order. I think Uber doesn’t pay drivers enough. You have to take a lot more orders in order to make a decent amount. Both companies have pros and cons. But my preference is Door Dash.

It's one of those things that depends on if you tell them or not. You aren't technically required to report it to your insurance, (at least in my state) but I do know they can throw a fit if they find out an accident was caused while driving for one of these services. If you do report it, they will charge you more. Also, in some states these services are required to pay a minimum wage. Last thing to mention. They don't take taxes, so you have to pay come tax time further cutting into your profits.

From my perspective, I stopped using Uber eats and switched to DoorDash because of the awful customer support. I can understand the perspective of a delivery driver who needs to get in contact with the person picking up the food, but as someone who is paying for and picking up the food, Uber is just so unhelpful. My main problem is that they have a block that makes it so after I think two refunds or complaints it stops helping you out. It basically just tells you to fuck off and that they’re sorry about what happened. The problem with this is was that shit was constantly wrong with the order or I just didn’t get my order. These aren’t minuscule things, this is like I ordered chicken wings and I got pizza, or I ordered a hot coffee with donuts and got cold brew with a bagel. So I have to be reporting these incidents because they kept happening more than two times, I was no longer able to get any reimbursement for anything that happened with my order. So about a week later, when a guy stopped at my address for about 30 seconds and drove off as soon as I walked up to the car and marked my order as completed, I was completely fucked over on a $40 order with no ability for any refund. I found it unfair that I was getting punished for reporting massive mistakes in what I ordered versus what I received. Especially when they had me take photos of what I got to prove that things were missing and I’m clearly showing that over half of my order is not there, and it’s still just tells me to have a nice day. Not only have I experienced less mistakes from the same restaurants with DoorDash, but it also has never soft blocked my account for reporting mistakes and asking to be refunded for what I didn’t receive.

Switch over so that your app says meet at door and not leave at door.

Also, if it smells like shit everywhere you go sometimes you need to check your own shoe. There is no way you have had this many issues. You are clearly a problem.

Now let me correct you. Sometimes it’s better to work in a zone and get familiar with the restaurants in that zone and not be drag all over the place. Customer service works great and i have no problems with the app working for me

It doesn't always work staying in A zone. I can tell you that because if there's 10 drivers out and you only got five orders not all the drivers are going to get any. Sometimes restaurants have told me they shut down the doordash app because not enough driver or just too many drivers out and it's saturated the area and if somebody does not leave the area they're going to be paused
