I'm a self-confessed hardwax oil convert. The more I use it, the more I like it. Because most demonstration videos only show how to apply Rubio on a big flat surface, I want to show you my application method on a piece of furniture too. I hope you enjoy.

I was so excited to see that you used this on a floor. 6 years ago I was working on a home remodel where the client insisted on Rubio for the wood floors. My boss and I weren't convinced, we just went back a few weeks ago for another small project in their house and those floors look as good as the day we wrapped up the remodel. And they've got two good sized puppers running around all the time. I'm not sure I've ever seen a floor hold up as well.

Thank you, for this thorough tutorial on the Rubio. I am a novice woodworker and have a piece that I need to finish. I have been watching other channels use this product on their projects, but was a bit nervous to try it. You just sealed the deal for me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Came here from R Humphrey's channel and I'm impressed with the way you look for cheaper options and give warnings to the cost of the products you use. Well done!

Thank you for the informative video Marc. This is one of the only ones out there that goes into depth specifically for furniture. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

YES! This is the best example of before and after with the maintenance oil. Thank you!

Thanks for this video, as you mentioned these finishes are not cheap and it was great to see how a self confessed “finishing geek” uses them. The information was so good that it convinced me to purchase a small size container and give it a try. Thank you

I’ve been using catalyzed lacquers for a few years. That little touch up at the end has pretty much sold me. I’ve been looking to move away from the hazardous VOC finishes to something with less health risks

This video is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I have recently almost exclusively moved to hard wax oils (Simple Finish, Odies, and Walrus Furniture Butter). I am, like many others, always concerned about durability, and your explanation really put it into perspective for me. I can now continue to use these finishes with confidence knowing that the good out ways the bad, at least in my opinion. Hoping to try Rubio and Osmo soon.

Thanks so much!!! I’m a user of Osmo, but my go to finish is oil based poly. My end product is very good. It definitely comes at a price. Dust and off gassing are major problems. Osmo finishers are very very good. The best thing about Osmo is applying it with a half clean shop. As long as there’s not a ton of crap in the air, and even if their is great results are possible. Truly a great video. Cheers.

This is great! I know Bourbon Moth loves Rubio Monocoat, and the White coat on White Oak does look amazing! Thanks for going into how to apply this, and how it is mixed! I have been thinking about getting the pure for some of my projects.
