I've never appliqued with wood before - it's never piqued my interest but that truck with the pumpkin..too cute!!!! I WANT ONE! More Lori Holt stuff to buy! :) That button for the truck handle is perfect. Where can those be purchased?

It could work! Try with a thicker needle, but the same thread.

This is a Blanket stitch; not a button hole stitch.
