I am in my teenage years and I just bought a sewing machine. BROTHER-Rh137. All my friends say that I’m weird for it but I don’t care. I would love to learn how to sew. What do you thing about my sewing machine? Is it quality? Pls answer. Thanks lots of hugs 🤗

That is awesome! Any machine is good to start. I have over 300 tutorials on my blog at blog.treasurie.com. All you need is a machine that does a straight stitch and a zig-zag is a bonus.

I have sewn for over 45 years and am glad the craft is going on to new generations. I have over 10 machines and my favorite is a Brother machine. Enjoy creating and once others see your creations they will want to do it too! Don’t let them squash your dreams! Fabric inks and paints are great on fabrics if you want to expand your wheelhouse. Have fun!

Using this method the appliqué pieces are stiff on the fabric. The method I use is Elmer’s school glue around the edges then place on fabric and sew...

It depends of course on your interfacing brand. The glue is a great method as an alternative. Thanks for helping.
