All the other tutorials i've seen show you how to draw *in* adobe, and while that can be useful.. it's also really nice to know how to animate using a drawing software *outside* of adobe. Thanks so much for this tutorial, it's super helpful!

Wow, this is a fantastic tutorial. No rambling and right to the point, very clear and concise, kept things simple, and used a great (and very cute!) character model as an example. You make it look so easy although I'm sure syncing the head/body/tail movements so that it doesn't look awkward is something that takes some experience to achieve as easily as you did it. Thank you for this! Subbed and hoping for more like this :)

You can use a clipping layer for shadow so you dont have to erase the exces color yourself

Very cool, but for future reference you can select layer contents so you can add your shadows without having to erase afterwards

I dont use an Ipad Pro or just Ipads in general but but After Effects isn't available on mobile, only on PCs and such.
