    I have used a rectangular wool furniture pad stuck to my palm sander and the cheapest wax/paraffin candle to do this since I have A.Fib. and the rubbing causes my heart problems.

    this is a cheap pad bought from a general construction store which has from tools to pipes, wood, this i think its found where the sand paper stuff are and its cheap, first use leaves some hairs till it becomes more stiff from the wax.

    I use the rubbed-in wax technique occasionally but have noticed that the "aged" areas completely fade away as soon as the piece is exposed to direct sunlight for a while. I haven't figured out how to stop that from happening.

    try if it is not dyed orif it is drum dyed. The good part is that you can make a try quickly and you only need a candle and a cloth

    Paraffin wax is petroleum based. Petroleum products destroy leather. Better to used beeswax, an organic wax.

  • @kennethlow6619
    @kennethlow66194 жыл бұрын

    That’s a quick and easy way to destroy leather, more so for aniline or horween leather since they’re both highly delicate. No matter how hard you rub the leather or apply 1001 types of products on it, the outcome will never be the same as compared to naturally aged leather. That’s the truth about leathers in general but you need to keep in mind that genuine leather was derived from an animal’s skin/hide so rubbing harsh chemicals on it to change the outlook is going to produce the same results if it was applied on your own skin.

    When was the last time you saw leather age in a circular pattern .... me never. This is not how I would do it, I prefer to not destroy a good leather or a poor leather either.
