I've used this technique. Less likely to drop them for sure. I bought 1000 micro beads which looks great but now like you my carpet is now 90% rivets

Yeah it the tiny size and the glue spread problem. And you know that telltale sound when you vacuum and hear all these little clicks and rattles as the “rivets” suck up. P.s. Good to see your face on camera on your elevator video!!

I love the idea of using pins! Quick question: What do you do with the trimmed ends? Throw them out? Knowing me, I'd drop them on the floor and step on them. That's just how I roll, some days.

What is balsa foam exactly? I live in Denmark - an apparently formless country where XPS is impossible to get and no one’s heard of sculpting foam. Except for EPS foam. We have that. But no one want to use that for their table.

  • @thestateofplay2023

I think balsa foam is just balsa wood dust mixed with a polymer, making it halfway between plastic foam and wood. Here’s some. www.amazon.de/Sculpture-15-Pad-Pack/dp/B00W9WVBUK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=2CAFMQQFSRZY4&keywords=balsa+foam&qid=1689922533&sprefix=balsa+foam%2Caps%2C78&sr=8-1
