how do i make it so my stream can hear the music AND my game? not just my music because when i have my desktop audio on as well as the music file playing its like playing the song over itself? like u can hear it twice, if that makes sense. because my desktop audio is somehow picking up the music? even tho they're like completely seperate audios idk why.

thanks for the video, for some reason i still cant hear the music i did all the steps you said and changed the audio monitoring in obs and i still cant hear, it says its playing but i cant hear anything

Does this only work for Mp3 files or will it work for wav files as well?

Great work on all the videos man! Here a concern I have with this. What if you're streaming for 5 or 6 hours? I'm going to need a Playlist for hours worth of gameplay and this method seems tedious for that. Any suggestions??

ok. i'm begging for help. i watched your video and watched and i swear i think i took every step you shared. other than combining the music. i just tried ONE song to see if it works and i the music did not play. and i couldn't tell which MIC was connected. What do you do if the audio doesn't loop even when you have it set to loop? The playback continues but it keeps glitching and the audio cuts either when my stinger transition plays or when I swap back to the scene with the music plugged in. I double checked the video you made a few times to make sure I had all the settings correct; settings are fine. it's only a 4 minute long mp3 file but that shouldn't effect anything right?

So you want to create a scene in Obs like you do the starting soon, gameplay, etc. Label it music, and then for the source, add the mp3 file. Then in all your other scenes, instead of adding the mp3 file, add the music scene instead to all your scene, and then the music will keep playing. I hope that makes sense

You want to create a scene and for the source just add the music. Then in every scene add the music scene under sources. Hope that helps.

Hey, glad the video are helping, you can add more than 4 songs. You can add as many as you want. So before you download the file add all the songs like I showed you then download the whole file.

I think I just fixed it. You need to transition the screen so the music is on the program screen instead of preview

Create a scene and add the music file there, then add that scene to every other scene you want the music to be played, and now you will not have that issue.
