I have the same truck and just FYI you don't have to remove the seats to take off the plastic panels along the bottoms of the doors, if you'll pull on them they snap right out and they're held in by clips. I've had mine out numerous times it's very easy. 👍
You made it so easy to install a sound system. Luckly i have a 1999 sierra ext cab 3 door and its exactly the same😀 thank you will do it my self and save money

I always recommend an amplifier that is slightly more powerful than the RMS rating of the sub. I never pay attention to peak power.
where did the sub fit once the seats were back in? did it fit behind the seats, under them...? great video btw! i have a '99 sierra and looking to upgrade my sound

The sub was under the seat :) the amp was behind the seat :)

It looks like he screwed it into the rear cab or some metal part thats open

Why would you not run power so the radio turns on and off through ignition switch?

That's what the little blue remote turn on wire is.

Were you able to reinstall the back seat or is that not an option? I wanna put subs in my truck but want to keep the back seat!

Yeah, I had no issues with putting in the back seat 😁 as far as anyone is aware, you can't even see that I have a sub!
