3:15 made me remember how in sixth grade me and one of my classmates used to draw stick figure comics, they were one page long, and were basically just one big fight, but it was super fun coming to school every monday and showing each other those pages, what kind of fights we thought up and how we played with the pacing and mostly visuals, I remeber one time I decided that just stick figures were boring so I added some perspective, like a camera going around the figures, a first person pov and just things like that, it made them more enjoyable to draw and look at. even tho it wasn't much, hopefully it helped form an at least decent base of skill and understanding of perspective. now it has been a year since i started to kind of draw more often, but I haven't really got to learning anything about art, it just kind of happens that I kind of know how to draw and my friends have been saying that I have a talent for it, so I want to try and improve my skills to not let it go to waste, especially since I enjoy it so much. this video has inspired me to try and make a comic of my own, thank you.

this actually works, i'm not even kidding. like not exactly the 5 hrs thing and it being your first comic, but the fact that you can finish something you can be proud of in a span of only a few hours. a friend's birthday was coming up in two days (and i even have little free time to draw cause i was busy) and i wanted to draw a hypothetical scene for their fanfiction as a gift. because of the deadline i had less time and energy to stress about it being perfect and only focused on finishing it on time. i even tried something new (technique-wise) along the way and was happy with it. and they liked it very much even though it was messy as hell 😅 i wish i have this same rushed yet effective process on all my other comic projects, otherwise i would have finished so much this year. i'm hoping to fix this 😭

What a timing! Just starting my first comic. I gotta say. This is a solid an advice as it gets. 1. Get your resources 2. Put a 5hrs timer on 3. Start making your comic with the skills you have. 4. Finish the damn comic. I would add ... 5. Repeat ( don't just repeat ... ) 5.a. Share it 5.b. Notice what you did well & repeat 5.c. Notice what you can improve & improve it. 6. Finish the damn comic ( at your current skill ) Repeat ( don't just repeat ... ) Etc.

This sounds like pretty solid advice. I’ll have to try it next time I get a chance. But where does the story making process come in? Do you walk into this with a story already in mind, or do you make one up in the five hours you have? Is character design the same way?

That's actually a pretty good idea. I've already finished 2 small projects but lately I can barely start anything, much less finish. I think I'll set a time, whatever I have available, no matter if it's only one hour and all I can make is a comic strip. It's way less pressure than thinking I'll make a comic for a contest or start a series.

Wowww! Great video Kesh ... you are an honest man !
I Just Love it!
omfg... you're a genius! I've been struggeling with most things because of exactly missing this... 5 hours is about 1 hour too much of what I can concentrate on in one go, so I'll try it with 5 and see if it works out for me. Thank you so so much!
Best advice ever. Thankyou.
YES! This is exactly right. You have to allow yourself permission to make the "bad" version first. Only then can you get better!
This sounds like pretty solid advice. I’ll have to try it next time I get a chance. But where does the story making process come in? Do you walk into this with a story already in mind, or do you make one up in the five hours you have? Is character design the same way?
I had to leave sketching because of my studies i sometime still sketch but watching ur videos always make me happy, thankyou kesh ♡

Just want to say 🙏 good luck with your studies, but think about at least sketching or doodling for a couple minutes If you have the time. ✌️ Art
this is very good advice. Thank you
That's actually a pretty good idea. I've already finished 2 small projects but lately I can barely start anything, much less finish. I think I'll set a time, whatever I have available, no matter if it's only one hour and all I can make is a comic strip. It's way less pressure than thinking I'll make a comic for a contest or start a series.
This inspired me ✨⭐
Thanks man i am about creat my own comic and u released the video on perfect timing thanks for the video man big fan 👍
At 0:19 it doesn’t even look that bad, it looks great! I’m really bad at drawing but I absolutely respect people’s artwork and even if it looks bad
this video is helping me so much😊 thank you😊
This was extremely helpful.
Very good technique!!
"You will never be satisfied enough to start your dream project" I needed this... This opened my eyes! I feel refreshed! Thank you! I have been wanting to start a web comic for so long but I never knew where to start, how to start, etc etc, I just keep making excuses.. Thank you! I genuinely needed this! I think! I think I can finally begin the process... And that is... Make the most bare bones comic cos I am bad with poses and backgrounds but.. It's a start, and I'll do the 5 hours thing.
I love ur style of animation
thanks for this
