Foremost, my decision to enroll in BYUPathwayConnect last year was an "I Do not knowing Why" situation. Looking back now, I can testify it is a divine plan to bring me to where I am supposed to grow academically and spiritually.

Love this talk...even though things are acting upon us we still have the choice to be agents and creators in our personal lives.

President Worthen has presented some of the most inspiring examples of how to be led and taught by the Holy Spirit when things don't go as planned or expected. I have sent this talk to those I have been led to do so in hopes it may inspire them to "fresh courage take" and see blessings in a wicked world. Thank you for following The Savior and for being a light that leads us to His light.

I thought this talk. Especially, the first half is useful in a Universal way, so, I sent it to several friends.

I love the second half... Loneliness ... Loving.. . Reach out... A study shows how depression is lessened with a mere follow-up note... How are you? we're still here to help... 2 there's lots of evil in the world...

For those like me looking for spiritual talks. Thus is not bad but it really is for university students and faculty. There is uplifting messages in it but you have to wade through lots of university specific things that have nothing to do with a spiritual talk. I saw the title and thought it was more like a true BYU devotional.

I disagree with the idea that we are being acted upon by any shut-down mandates. We ought to look at it as 'acting together'.

By definition, a mandate removes the choice from the individual. When we have no choice in the circumstances, we are being acted upon. When it is “strongly recommended“ and people follow the recommendations, then we are “acting together.”

@@christyparr5904 We AWAYS have a choice. Our Constitution provides for the protection of our inalienable rights. Just because a person or a group of people choose "to act together" does not necessarily mean the action is moral or ethical or even the will of the Lord. Corona era is more about the adversary's designs and meeting his plans than the Lord's. Careful what voices you list to obey. They can carefully lead you down to hell. And eventually lead you into captivity because of your belief in deception.

Does the University Mission Statement include the teaching of critical race theory? I’m listening to this talk a year after it was given. In that time I have had the opportunity to read and hear from current and past students and professors that have said that CRT is being taught. I have grandchildren that will be ready to move onto higher education in the next five years. Do I need to be concerned with what they may be taught on your campus. I really would like an answer because I want to know how to encourage my grandchildren. Thank you.
