Not to be a stickler, but I may noticed there was a space in the link you put in the description after the slash. Is that meant to be there?

Thanks. The culprit is button 4 that is different from other Sony models 0:21 My image was slightly to the right, and I was able to center it.

Please help me, I haven't been able to do anything for a month. I connect the Sony Trinitron KV-21T1R Sega Genesis RGB TV to my image is shifted to the left, I can enter the service menu, but no matter how I try, I can't use any buttons to center the image. Why can't I change the values? Help please

@@papandos679 HEY i had same issue until i turned on my ps2, with ps2 it automatically went to ps2 as source but it stayed in service mode. i was able to change values then

my picture of my screen of my 14 inch Sony Trinitron seems to be tilted slightly to one side. bad centering i guess. is it hard to adjust that? is it also in the service menu?

If the remote has a button that looks anything remotely like a ok button then you can try that. I don't know much about trinitron service menus accept for this which I just learned by playing around in the menu.

Sony trinitron kvm1450d. Probably from 1989.

A 1:26, sul 5 e 6 poi ci sarebbero stati canale 5 e italia 1, sul 4 poi avrei trasmesso Rete 4, sul 7, 8, 9, 10, ecc. poi quello che becco sul decoder, i primi 3 canali sono la Rai.

Hello! Super useful info, got into the service menu...however I can't enter 11, it just stays at one and then takes me to the service menu..I have aSony KV-21X1U Any help really appreciated, trying to access the RGB input 🙏🙏🙏

Hello, this video was mostly intended as a tutorial to enter the service menu because there were no videos on youtube and I had to look on reddit. I found out that RGB mode works on regular RGB scart devices too, But i am not too sure. Might aswell mention that this only works on PAL tvs with a scart input. Modding is necessary on a NTSC device. And that is really why this can be usefull. Thanks for asking. -Ömer

Perhaps your tv is a diffirent model which features a diffirent service menu?

Happens the same to me in a Sony KV-25R2E that is an European model with a scart connection at the back.

For what I´ve been reading, not sure, maybe some Sony Trinton in Europe, the scart at the back is already an RGB. Will be making some more research and I will anwser here.

Also realised later that you dont need to do this, if you have a rgb compatible scart device with a high quality cable or adaptor it will work.

Do you have the original remote or are you using a universal remote?

I try to reach RGB mode on my Sony Trinitron KV-21M1K. I did everything like on the video, but instead of "R", it keeps saying "NS", and no matter what I push it won't change, so I have no access to RGB mode. The TV's made in UK. Is that the reason? It doesn't have RGB, does it?

I only know the information on this model. Your tv may not have rgb mode. I recommend getting on reddit. Rgb mode also may be enabled on default and you only need to plug in an rgb compatible device.

Hi ! I'm desperate, hoping to find an answer... I got a sony trinitron kv-m1450b in near new condition and not a scratch! except that the image... lord... the guy has set all the menu settings to 0! I tried to adjust it as best I could but I'm completely lost ... YOU or someone else have the "factory settings" of this tv or a 14 thumb similar? Thanks for even reading this post...

Sorr, but I don,t have the factory settings, I have never heard of such a function, generally a default setting is 50. I hope that helped.

@@AmbientAnalogue How to access other things like geometry? I was able to find this: 00 is TT off, 08 is exit with factory reset, 09 is reset to last saved settings, 11 toggles R (RGB), 17 toggles S (no idea what that is), 35 toggles A (no idea what that is either), 15 is also factory defaults. Then there are some weird numbers that set volume directly, and 07 is BAD, don't enter that. Where did you get your number info?

@lovemadeinjapan What's your CRT model number sir? You can usually find old reddit threads with your exact issue, or you can find info in there service manuals which are usually archived online

FOR PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE WHO ----> CAN'T CHANGE VALUES!!!. I had same issue until i turned my PS2 on, after that i was able to change value and easily adjust my screen as it was off center

I found the service menu code on r/crt, and I found rgb mode while playing in the service menu. I also discovered a few months ago that rgb mode also works without the mode off. I tried it on a dvd player (which im not sure if it has rgb support or not), and it turned the screen yellow.

@@Cengizomerca yes, by default Euro Trinitron's have RGB through Scart by default. I have both KV-21T1R and KV-14M1K (be-4 chassis with Scart RGB)
