HOW-TO 360 A JUMP! ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Спорт

The 360 is possibly my favourite trick to do. I've been able to do this trick for almost 15 years now, here's all my knowledge in under 5 minutes. I would love your feedback in the comments.

    I am watching this video only after I strained my ankle. I was learning 360s on a small jump that was just about my chest height, and had a really steep landing for beginning. I managed to get the rotation going but I landed on my back tire way sooner than the front so I over rotated and crashed. My ankle is ok now and it's good to hear that a longer takeoff helps. I was always skeptic that the local jumps were not right but I told myself that I shouldn't make up excuses for not learning 360s.

    Such a great video, thanks so much for the help. I’m pretty decent at doing a 3 on a small fly out and flat ground 180. I’ve got the knee tuck and look at the rear wheel down pretty good but I’m a little scared to take it to my mulch double. Im assuming I carve less and relax more but are there anything I’m missing before I try it on a pretty proper double, or would you say it’s actually easier with the more airtime?

    Hey Mark... thanks for this! I know this is an old video - but I've just hit an air bag for the first time here on Van Isle and I was looking for advice on the 360 - I was falling sideways into the the rotation. I think I was extending outwards and staying too tall - I"m excited to get back to the ramp and try tucking more. Thanks. Maybe see you at "sendair" soon! Alan.

    Great video, even when you’re already able to do 360‘s it helps. I can do them pretty constantly over normal sized jumps, but after that video I‘ve realized some mistakes I make. One Question I have is, if I should do a hop (like when doing a hop 180) or if I should wait until my back wheel leaves the takeoff. Would really appreciate an answer 😁

    Think that’s why he’s saying keep weight over back wheel . On big jumps no need to bunny hop

    Thx mark matthews for that one and it is true that it takes ages to learn I can do them out of a fly out but not over a gap or lip and landing. Is there anything different about doing them over a jump

  • @MarkMatthewsMTB

    @MarkMatthewsMTB

    Yes, you will have more airtime so it’s the same thing... just relax a bit more and set yourself up for the landing

    Umm then you don't have enough control on the air if this is happening. Go back to the basics a bit and work on popping hard and then nosing in nicely. Get that motion completely dialled before trying spins.

    It's probably one of the most important things you wouldn't do a 360 on a dh bike to start, would you? You'd do it on a bmx/dj first
