Isn't he amazing? Norman Rockwell was a HUGE fan of J.C. Leyendecker 💛
wow! In today's money he was charging roughly $9,000 USD per illustration! I don't know what artist usually charge today but I think that's still a whole lot!

Thank you so much!! Last year I did a 100 Scene Studies Challenge centered around 20 different themes (5 scene studies for each theme). This year I’m using those 20 themes to create 20 of my own original illustrations! I want to take what I learned from the scene studies challenge and put it into action with my own imagination. 💛
This is such a beautiful illustration story. I also loved the art history lesson! I slept through art history in high school and well, as an adult artist - I may have some regrets 😂
