My main reason for even using Instagram is to follow artists. I save images all the time, in a random mess of a folder (!). It does have the problem of comparing other's work with your own, but I still love getting ideas.

Thank you for your time posting these videos. I'm a recently retired teacher of students with special needs. 4 months ago, I discovered water color and the teacher in me has realized that my informal periodic instruction in drawing (engineering and cartooning classes, some fun acrylics, and periodically what I could fit in between being a mom and working full time) wasn't enough. I'm really serious about my painting and want to move from the tutorials to my own work. Thus I need to revisit how to draw. Your tutorials are very easy to listen to and I love the motivation/trouble shooting videos as well as the How to draw 01-06. You are appreciated. Thanks.

Certainly symbolism is one of the most pleasent subjectively aspects seen in a work of art, interesting system, very simplistic and effective.

This is such a great idea. I have a "Draw" board on 📌 and haven't found a way to organize what truly inspires me to draw/paint, thank you 🙏

I am 12 and I too always have that problem 😩 it is so tiring when I have to find out what I want to draw. I'm interested in cartoons and sketch drawings and line drawings of figures. 😊 thank you for sharing this system ☺ I'll try this idea

Looking through old tattoo books gives wonderful ideas, also antique stores/ websites are inspiring. Edit: went to a book sale & the children's books gave interesting color scheme ideas

You should have ended the video a bit sooner, just so you know my opinion. I like hearing you talk, don't get me wrong. It was an useful video, but I think it got a little bit repetitive by the end of the video. I will start implementing this idea from now on, thank you very much for sharing your insight.

I just searched some of my interests. I love nature and mountains and landscapes. Just search random stuff. Go down the rabbit hole. Search artists from the past you admire. Don't overthink. Just go and search :)

Hm, maybe I should revive my pinterest account, haven't done much on there for months. Interesting approach.

As in something to look at. For example, when I draw an animal, I find a few photos to look at to draw it. I might use one photo for the grass or background, another photo for the animal, etc. Hope that makes sense.
