I luckily don’t have this issue, I can actually be really rough with my hair without feeling a thing. I guess the trick is that I have always been really rough with my hair (really rough brushing and tight pony tails) so my pain threshold is a lot higher when it comes to my hair.

Of this whole video, that was the thing where I thought, "Dang, I wish I could do that".
I had the honor of watching her perform live, and honestly it was magical. Like the whole crowd just held their breathe and watched her twirl. The jewels on her outfit reflected the light and she was basically a human disco ball.

It's something ballet dancers and a lot of dancers do to flex their toe muscles, though I have heard by some people that it's damaging to their bones cause basically all their body weight is on those... Eh Idk

Hearing that she only started training for the circus at 18 made me feel really good because I have always wanted to work for Cirque du Soleil as an aerialist thought I would never be able to since I didn't start any aerial until I was 13 but hearing her story made me happy

Robin Turnbull $100-175 per show. $200 and above if you are a very famous performer. it all depends on how much the circus make and everything. unfortunately i feel that that isnt enough. they deserve so much more. their talent and hard work is amazing. making it look effortless all the time.

I think the most obvious and underlooked thing she doesn't do is damage it the way most of us do: she doesn't color or style it with heat at all. Other than that I'd guess genetics cuz my hair is so thin I can't leave it down it will fly all over my face. XD

I started circus when I was 5 but quit when I was 10 to focus on dance, but now I'm 13 I'm going back to circus because I've realised how much I love it. Though I'm staying on at dance too of course.

I have severe medical issues that have me in a wheelchair-- my cervical spine is very unstable and daily tasks are a challenge. Watching people who can do this is like watching someone learn to literally fly. It feels so superhuman. I can never get tired of watching.

VOLTA was such an AMAZING show. It’s inspirational, beautiful, and the story telling was immaculate. Cirque du Soleil is so visually pleasing and tells everything so well.
Great performer. I've grown up going to the cirque and catching them every chance i get. She does an amazing performance and I love how she took you behind the scenes to see her life a bit and then behind the curtain too. The Cirque has always had the best talent from all around the world and Danila is def. one of their best.

My Wife and I saw this show in Redmond Washington, loved it because we love the Atherton Twins! Who were only in this show for a short time We will be attending again in Washington DC area! In a couple of weeks! Can’t wait!
Saw Volta for my 21st birthday. I cried that day and it is literally the best day I have ever had in my 21 years of being alive. I hope to become and aerialist myself but feel that at 22 it might be too late for me. It saddens me because it is the only thing I feel I might actually be able to be good at and truly blossom at.

I have started taking lyra and silk and pole classes again after a year absence! It is a little discouraging to see that I have lost all my strength and flexibility but I am gonna keep going. Hopefully my muscle memory is good. I want to update this comment section regularly if that is okay, sort of like a diary. That way I can always re-watch this video and be re-inspired each time! I’n gonna keep taking silk classes, would be cool to at least know the basics of silks combined with the lyra. I have so much respect for you as an aerial artist. I watched the cirque du soleil Volta and it was an amazing act! While there were some technical problems when I was watching the show, all the performers were excellent and Volta was an amazing show no matter who was up on stage!

I'm sorry how do you lose hair from Dutch braids and hair extentions? Unless you're talking about you guys doing african african hairstyles and styles meant for 4c hair I dont see how..?
