@@lcc726 the kid is also working 7 days. People make money to spend money. Making money for the sake of making money is the dumbest idea ever. Money is a utility to be used. You can use it today or for a rainy day, but it’s for using, not just hoarding. You can’t take money with you when you die and working 7 days nonstop will lead to a quick death that will quickly eat up whatever money you have accumulated

My family and I have been going to this place for over 15 years! My sister and I used to go to the high school nearby and eat here during lunch. We still drop by sometimes since it's such a great deal and I love their chicken steaks!

This place reminds me of three other food courts Markham/Scarborough. I live down the street from peachtree centre in Markham, first Markham place is very well known, and the plaza on Silver Star/Steeles used to have some of my favourite meals.

I wonder if he's known to Global News CTV CBC Toronto Niagara Falls area because they might do a special report on him. Furthermore an American TV station in the Buffalo Niagara Falls New York State side of the Border can visit him and show him how he was able to cope. Excellent video overall and for the province they knew that it's going to happen to them again because they got hit hard by the first version of the virus. Which meant Jack survived the covid virus twice 2003 and 2020.

The owner mentioned purpose is the reason why he works so hard. I think that purpose is very important part of living and without purpose life becomes very difficult. I have never traveled to Toronto and would like to eat at that restaurant. I live in Los Angeles and there are many Chinese restaurants in the LA area.

no break is so real in chinese restaurants. when i was working at chinese owned businesses we took no break for 8-12 hours. the only "break" we took was to sweep the floor or wipe the tables cos those are supposed to be the chill duties lol. we take our lunch whenever the restuarant is empty. it was pretty dang brutal

I went to school in this area and I can tell you this isn't the first owner of the restaurant; the first older gentleman and his wife sold this business to this couple as they retired; I believe this gentleman was one of the cooks that worked for the original owner; I remember him being a lot younger. The price skyrocketed after the take over and more so after covid. Talking about a 40% increase, but hey you know how bad Inflation is in Canada ... quality wise it's a bit down compared to back in the day, it's super busy on weekends but honestly for price jump there are better choices for that price point if you drive a block or two in any direction. With that said people in the area like a bit of consistency; out of all the eateries in this plaza this and the one on the far right are the two that has been there since the beginning.
