When the father looked outside and saw a piece of cloud, instead of naming his son 'Cloud'(云), he name his son 'A Piece'(一朵). The joke is a double entendre; his father almost named his son Ma Yun(Cloud), which is the name of current Chairman of Alibaba, implying he would have had a good fortune if he was named after him. While also simultaneously implied the father is an uneducated ah beng, hence he chose 'A Piece' instead of 'Cloud'. It's basically a shock humor dad joke. The closest English joke would be this: A woman was 3 months pregnant when she fell into a deep coma and woke up after about 6 months. The woman asked the doctor about her baby. Doctor: You had twins, a boy and a girl. They're both fine. And, you're brother named them for you. Woman: No No No! Not my brother. He's an idiot! What did he name the girl? Doctor: Denise. Woman: Ohh, that's actually a nice name. What about the boy? Doctor: Denephew.

wow. Randomly just clicked this video out of boredom, but this guy Mayiduo is really an inspiration. Hardworking, studious, compassionate, funny, intelligent. Really good man, this guy deserves the success he has.

think this comes with life experience and high EQ. i have noticed this about john on quite a few occasions in the podcasts.

I agree with him. There is a work ethic culture here in Malaysia that is very damaging to start ups. But him saying he stayed back for 12 hours to push production alone is heartfelt. I remember back in the days where I was the only one staying back with my ex-boss staying till 3-5am just to push a little more to ready for a client visit. I would have stayed back to work with u. Your theory is right btw.

Amazing to have Mayiduo coming on the show and sharing his experience. He is very open with his mistakes, his flaws and even his experience to many. I sure want to meet him and to learn from him on how he can be so daring to venture out to start a business. I have to agree with him when he said that a child can really change your life and I do agree with him as I am a father as well. But still I am not daring enough like him to venture out to do business with a family, but I guess I have many to learn from him! Hope to meet him some day and learn from him!

Watched many of Mayiduo's interviews, he always seem like a funny guy to hangout with together with his sharp business sense 🤙

Ya, DO NOT start business with your gf/bf/husband/wife!!!! To outsiders, my hb and I are very 没有脾气 type of person. Few years into our business, our quarrels only escalates. The polices even came for our last fight. Nothing bad happened but the stress really drive us crazy. And I think Mayiduo wife drop the win to tell you she really appreciate what you have done. Somedays I do that. Because with the business, I will subconscious complain about the bad (so that we can improve). And slowly he will feel that everything he did is not good enough for me even though he is trying his best. I will drop some wins or praise to remind him that I really appreciate everything he did. And why I can't do it too often, because he get confident too easily and start thinking of the next business to do. :D
