I can’t speak for Dave. However, I have been in the detailing game since 2009. What I personally do is price accordingly. For example. My full interior shampoo detail base price is $250. Price to operate all of my equipment and chemical usage is around $5 for that ONE vehicle. Then I factor in employee pay. Typically I have 2 employees so I pay them $25 each so $50 per hour multiplied by the 2-3 hours it takes me to get the job done so I add an additional $150 making the total detail price for the client $400. If I finish quicker I cut the price down to $350 since I believe in being honest and fair. They typically pay the initial price as they leave a generous tip. So I take home or gross the $250 and the rest is for business expenses and employee pay. Then I just adjust price point to with whatever detail I’m doing on any given day.

I know as a mobile detailer you gotta work fast but if y’all pay attention “Sam” washed the whole bottom of the bumper and worked his way up to the roof on the Lambo didn’t flip or rinse his mitt now I can see why that lambo had crazy amount of scratches on the front end in the intro of the vehicle 5:30 and 6:20

You are correct. Proper way to wash a vehicle is always scrub top first , hood , doors & then move to the rear bumper and constantly rinse your mitt . Why do the rear last because that’s where most of the dirt piles up and any smoke from the exhaust.

@daniel I had to read the comments before I said something. That’s why I use the one bucket method with multiple towels. It will never go back into a dirty bucket again once it leaves.

That’s mostly every “detailer” the fact you started washing your car and your friends doesn’t make you a detailer. You actually need experience working in a car wash to actually know what your doing. Don’t even apply foam correctly.

It’s all about location of your customers or business. Some people can’t afford $300+ details only $50-$200 details.

But damn... it just hurts to watch these guys in the background not having more training in terms of caring for the paint while washing. going around with the wash mit you never ever wanner go from lower car to upper car, always start from the top and work your way down. great work tho!

I don't use a water tank. I it use their supplies like water and plug in electric. They don't mind at all. They just want their vehicle's clean. If you are going to their homes only.😁

He is talking about future Maintenance, and it’s not “bird poo” it’s etched clear coat. Bird poo is gone but it etched into the clear damaging that. Ceramic coating prevents that in the future

It is always amazing to me they are hundreds of thousands of homeless people in the street starving and people are paying $300 to wash their car it’s a shame
