Hey Randy thanks a bunch for taking time to talk about the thermocline! Just what I needed and in terms easy to understand! It means a lot that you took the time to do this video.

I've been surprised by the temperature differences at different depths when I was free diving to spear fish. Also just swimming in lakes. I remember trying to swim after my uncle who was scuba diving in Lake Lanier and about 10' it went from chilly to too cold for a FL boy. He had on a wetsuit and didn't last long in that water. And in the FL Keys and Belize I snorkeled in warm water on the surface but 20' down it was noticably colder. A lot of times one layer of water will be cleaner than the water with a different temperature. It all affects the fishin'. Good stuff Randy.

one of the lakes here around the house has a thermocline so pronounced that I can see it clearly on my livescope. Its very shallow at 7-8ft and makes the fishing incredibly tough this time of year.
