Definitely put it outside in a little box. I had one in my cargo trailer camper. Moved it outside, and just ducted the heat in and oh my goodness, way quieter. It is worth relocating it bigtime!

It’s good that you had a nice warm night at the cabin with your diesel heater (your episode title was a joke, correct?!) The meals looked delicious. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for the parlor stove. It will look so nice in the cabin!

Overall it worked out good, just the noise from the diesel heater takes away from the atmosphere of the cabin. I don't mind it when I am sleeping as the white noise is nice.

I’m wondering what is the coldest it’s been there and the warmest over the winter there? Can’t wait to see what you do next video!

Thanks Maria! I think being in the -40's is the coldest, while +12C has been the warmest.

I THINK THE EPISODE IS FINE... YOU GET USED TO THE BACKGROUND NOISE OF THE HEATER AND IT DISAPPEARS... IF IT STILL BOTHERS YOU MAYBE TRY WEARING A MIC ON YOUR SHIRT INSTEAD OR BUILDING A SOUND PROOF BOX AROUND THE HEATER, IF POSSIBLE, WITH EGG CARTONS INSIDE TO ABSORB THE NOISE....GREAT VIDEOS AS ALWAYS!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!

I don't mind the background noise at night with the heater turned down as it makes good white noise to fall asleep to, it just really takes away from the feel of the cabin during the day both inside and outside. It is a great unit for what it is intended though.

on most of those heaters you can change to temp instead of hz....will crank up and down as needed when set to temp

Great video.....the diesel heater is very loud. I really don't know anything about this.......but can the heater run outside and run the hose into the cabin?

Thank you Karleen! It sure can, it is just I have no protective covering for it and the battery out there so this was the easiest way to test it out. Not a permanent solution, but it worked for heating up the cabin!

I would of most definitly mounted that heater outside for the simple noise factor
