Basking in Winter's Glow- The Closing Warmth Before the Polar Vortex"
Brace yourselves for an atmospheric journey in our latest episode, as we bid a reluctant farewell to the last remnants of warmer weather. The polar vortex is making its ominous descent southward, promising bone-chilling temperatures and, if we're lucky, a blanket of snow. Join me in this captivating adventure as we track the onset of the deadly cold and witness the atmospheric dance that precedes its arrival. From the fading warmth to the anticipation of frosty winds, we'll explore the delicate balance between the seasons, capturing the essence of nature's transition. Come along for a front-row seat to the breathtaking spectacle of the changing weather, as we prepare for the cold embrace of the polar vortex and the potential beauty it might unveil in its icy wake.

Thank you Black blade! We did finally get a bit of snow and the extreme cold temperatures showed up the other day. I'll be out at the cabin again today to make another video and it should be a good one! Stay tuned in for that!

Happy New Year!!! This winter has been pretty mild. We been having some snow days, nothing consistent. Hopefully it’ll start snowing more where you live. Well stay safe and warm. ❤

Thank you Maria! Happy New Year to you as well! As of right now, it has snowed up here a few inches, nothing big, and it has gotten very cold with the polar vortex hitting in full force. Some places in Alberta will be down to -57C with the wind chill. Next episode will highlight that.

I always get the best foodie inspirations from your videos! Found the dehydrated potatoes on amazon, but I am having no luck with the jalapeño mozzarella, which sounds amazing! Looks like I will have to go with a jalapeño jack…anyway, nice to see another video. I’m interested in the outdoor kitchen concept, or whatever you decide to use for that platform. I hope you get some sub zero temps for maximum cabin enjoyment. Take care and stay warm, Wayne!

I'm glad you get some inspiration from the content! Those dehydrated has browns are excellent and convenient to have! as long as you can boil some water to get them ready that is! The outdoor kitchen has been in my mind for sometime now, I will hopefully get to it after this polar vortex is done. It is -40C here right now (-52C with wind chill), so that project will have to go on hold. Next episode is being recorded tonight and should be a good one! Thanks for tuning in as always Lisa!

@@TheBushkateer Sorry to bother you with additional commentary, but I look forward to the content you are working on tonight. We in WNY are forecasted to get the vortex cold and snow throughout the weekend, so I will be on shoveling duty here while you are fighting the chill at the cabin!! Good luck! 🏕️ 🪵
Hashbrowns are good, but some cheese and ketchup on it makes it that much better. Either way, looks tasty. Stay warm.

Oooooh You got some cold this time. Wonder if the Diesel heater would work ‘OutSide’ with the heat going in.

Well, the cold showed up after this episode, down to -42C this morning. I do have an interesting episode coming up about this polar vortex that hit Alberta. The diesel heater may be a permanent piece of equipment at the tiny cabin after this trip. Stay tuned.
Happy New Year

That diesel truck of yours is going to be hard to start once -39 arrives!!
@TheBushkateer

Yes, it does not like that cold temperature for sure. I will be starting and running it every few hours to help it out. I'll burn a bit more diesel, but protect the engine by keeping some heat in it and not letting it get so cold.
Are you ever worried about your stuff getting stolen while you’re away? Love your channel and videos!!

Thanks Brad! It is kind of on my mind from time to time, but I do my best to secure the property and the area that I am in doesn't get a lot of people coming to it. I don't leave anything really valuable there when I leave and lock up my gate at the entrance to the property. Thanks for tuning in and commenting!

Thanks Dwayne! I find it easier to build the fires outside the stove first then put it in the stove/fire pit. It is easier to film also. Thanks for tuning in and commenting!

Geez Guy ..wouldn’t it be a lot nicer to have your kindling all cut up for when you first get to the cabin instead of having to do it after you arrive
@TheBushkateer

Yes it probably would, but cutting kindling is part of the episode and getting the cabin set up. Thanks for tuning in and commenting!
I enjoy your videos. Please take this as constructive criticism. The sniffling while speaking detracts from the otherwise quality content.
